49 Cigars for $111.00. Or go around the corner from my house and get the same cigars for $343.00.

I've been unable to not do so goin' on 18 years ... there was a time when I was unable to not do so even when I already had well more than 1,000 cigars on hand ... took me more than a decade to learn to control myself ...

After a few years of doing a lot of buying here, when I smoked a lot of what they stocked, at much better prices than I was able to find elsewhere, I've moved on to other kinds of cigars which are not usually available here. Now, I'll do an occasional buy, just to justify (token of appreciation for?) my participation on these forums...

+1
MAP pricing, no Padrons, stupid starting prices on some of my favorite dailys, shipping issues.........and suddenly it's been almost a year since I purchased anything here, by far my longest "no-buy" stretch at cbid.
The way things look presently......I see another "no-buy here" year ahead as well...

Aw heck.......might as well put up a dozen low-ball bids for old times sake...

At this point, there are a couple of items I come here to buy, as well as occasionally coming across a deal. Like you, most of what I buy now either isn’t available here or is available cheaper elsewhere. But the forums are absolutely worth the price of admission, and the occasional overbid.

I think the reason a lot of the older timers here don'y bid much anymore is because of the newbs bidding everything up beyond it' s real value. Kinda like Barkan the prices up.

49 cigars for $111... my guess is he got a bunch of dog turds that aren't even worthy of smoking while... picking up dog turds.

my guess is that your guess is pretty much spot-on ... I've not seen a cigar worth smoking for $2.25 in years ...

I got about 100 cigars for under $ 2 that are worth smoking a few months ago elsewhere. They now are priced in the $ 5 a stick range and much better than the yard gars I usually smoke.

I see the OP liked flavored cigars in an earlier posting here.

Rick, glad you're thrilled with your cbid experience (no, I don't work for cbid).

I feel the same way you do. If you want a particular cigar in a particular vitola, cbid may not be for you. On the other hand, if you enjoy a lot of different cigars and are flexible about the vitolas, you can get some very good smokes at an exceptional price on this site.

Enjoy.

I buy 6 x 60 dog rockets and I tell you I like them because that's all I can get for the price I want to pay.

For the other noobs, ^this guy is a newbie, don't let him tell you stories.

Being a noob is a state of mind, and it's not dictated by how long you've been doing it (what ever it is).

Pretty sure this dude is just a straight noob.

Oh, and he's a noob with cigars too obviously.

Oh come on RICK BARKAN, everyone here knows that using ALL CAPS is just a form of overcompensation for you. You want to seem AS BIG AS POSSIBLE, and we all know why.

Don't worry about it dude. Obviously if you're gong to go to those EXTREME MEASURES, you're probably the most underendowed guy here by far, but I'm sure there's plenty of competition for 2nd place.

Still happy with purchasing some old favorites from here. No B&M within a 3hr drive, plus avoids a 40% State sin tax on tobacco. But like many others also purchase else where for other cigars.

Stocking up for winter. 40 cigars for $148
Jericho Hill
Jaime Garcia
My Father
LADC Mi Amor
EPC La Historia
LGC Serie N
CAO Brazilia

Retail on CI would have been $290 with a couple free lighters (whoop-de-doo. They don't work at this altitude). Add $116 for the 40% sin tax if purchased in State reaches over $400, not including the County 10% sales tax.
So yeah… I'm satisfied with a $3.75 per cigar average.
Probably still overbid though.
