Pulled the bird out of the brine and into the roaster thing... Went to dump the brine, minding my own bidness, when for some reason I decided to soak my feet in it... I don't know why....Sad
But I got caught and now my wife thinks I'm nuts... Sad

Mornin' dudes... and Drafter... ya freak.

No brine, no seasoning... just a butterball turkey about to be soaked in hot peanut oil for 45 minutes. It comes out tasty... but may need a pinch of salt/pepper.

Spent a few hours with the kiddo and his friends. Fried turkey, spiral cut ham, stuffing, smashed taters, gravy, steamed veggies... pecan pie... beers... my stomach looks like a 10 pound sack of potatoes with 20 pounds in it. Feels like it, too.

Turkey and fixins after 5 miles on the bike. Two beers and quit. Slight fog and headache.

Should have drank more or less.

Vodka rocks before Mrs Monkey’s family descended on our house, vodka martinis after they arrived, accompanied by a Laranja. Gave a heartfelt prayer, then dinner/lunch. Todos las Dias after dinner (my current favorite), then my boys (ok, men, even if it makes me feel old), arrived. Played games until they all left with Mrs Monkey to go shopping. I’ve now moved on to scotch and a Dip 2, but only after washing dishes. I’m counting it as a win since I don’t have to shop. Pretty much a redux of the last 5 years, except the monkey Twins can legally drink this year. Hope y’all had an equally good thanksgiving.

Oh, and Ewok, I at least have the appropriate materials from usps to get your package together tomorrow....

Man, sounds like the barrel of monkeys had an awesome turkey day. No worries on the package, I am in no rush and I know you have been hard at it for a while now. You just relax and enjoy your holiday and family brother. I ain't going nowhere, the wife won't let me drive lmaoo. d'oh! Besides I have decanted the Bourbon I will be sending you. I still have to decant the Tequila here in the next day or 2 that I will be sending along with the bourbon as well. The longer I leave that Tequila in the barrel the better Reposado it makes lol. Flat 12 Bierworks had their RIS barrel age release day today.

Perfectly coincided with me being in Indy, and meeting up with someone to sell a gun. Got cash in my pocket which was quickly converted to beer.
