You really can't make this stuff up

Stormy Daniels sues Trump, says ‘hush agreement’ invalid because he never signed

Adult film star Stormy Daniels sued Donald Trump Tuesday, alleging that he never signed the nondisclosure agreement that his lawyer had arranged with her.

The civil suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by NBC News, alleges that her agreement not to disclose her "intimate" relationship with Trump is not valid because while both Daniels and Trump's attorney Michael Cohen signed it, Trump never did.

Stephanie Clifford, known professionally as Stormy Daniels, signed both the agreement and a side letter agreement using her professional name on October 28, 2016, just days before the 2016 presidential election. Cohen signed the document the same day. Both agreements are appended to the lawsuit as Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2.

Click here to read the "Hush Agreement" and the side letter agreement

The "hush agreement," as it's called in the suit, refers to Trump throughout as David Dennison, and Clifford as Peggy Peterson. The side letter agreement reveals the true identities of the parties as Clifford and Trump.

Each document includes a blank where "DD" is supposed to sign, but neither blank is signed.

According to the lawsuit, which attorney Michael Avenatti announced in a tweet, Clifford and Trump had an intimate relationship that lasted from summer 2006 "well into the year 2007." The relationship allegedly included meetings in Lake Tahoe and at the Beverly Hills Hotel. ............

Trumps signature isn't necessary for her to be bound by what she signed. She received consideration in the form of payment. Besides, she has what is known in legal jargon as "unclean hands". She loses in court, but wins outside of court if her intention is to publicize the "secret" agreement.

There is also the part about Trumps side doing some talking that may nullify it anyway

But I agree .... In addition the fact her copy doesn't have his signature doesn't mean his doesn't

in his defense, and I may be wrong, consider that he was apolitical or at least an equal opportunity mud slinger until faced with a life/death situation involving his infant son.

It was an awakening to him that had he not been blessed with the income to provide what the baby needed medically and surgically, he would be in the same dire straits as (at that time) potentially uninsured families if Trump's Health Care Replacement Plan had become law of the land. Initially he was a one-issue criticizer, and was not using humor, just real life drama.

He started out by focusing on insurance as a serious issue, but Trump went at him and he did not back down, in fact became much more of a political satirist mining a seemingly endless supply of material.

Side note, even without the politics, always found him to be funny and likable, and far from PC if you remember The Man Show.

It's quite apparent that the real comedic talent from the Man Show is Adam Corolla.

Kimmel is a hack.

PS: He was a biting political hack before he dragged his family's situation into the fray. All that did was buy some sympathy which he decimated real quick!

So Corolla carried Kimmel, and his podcast is a better career than late night TV on a major network? I learn so much here. What else can you inform us about?

Quite a bit, but you refuse to learn.

Ever listen to his podcast? No, you haven't. Otherwise you would be agreeing with me on who has the talent. Kimmel has a team of writers and he STILL isn't funny. Adam is on his own...funny.

When I stated he was busy, I meant it. After wrapping up the Man Show he started another tv show called The Adam Corolla Project. Unfortunately it was a reality show and America figured out that they're all staged, written and performed poorly. Still, being a fan of the Man Show I was able to find something each episode to laugh at. Followed that up with a movie that he wrote, directed, produced and starred in. I can keep going, but you don't care.

It is now being reported that Trump already has won a secret Temporary Restraining Order in the matter. The standards for a TRO are very high. You need to prove a strong likelihood of prevailing in the matter. This already shows the way the court is leaning.

The interesting part is that reporting appears to have started with Sarah Sanders but Stormy’s lawyer claims it’s not true.

I’ll be honest IDGAF about this one unless laws have been broken.

I also don’t care about Kimmel or Corolla. I am amused by anyone that thinks their opinion on an entertainer is a fact from which they can teach.

I like how he's in cahoots with the #MeToo movement. Today. Because that's where his base is. His income.

Just like having bikini trampoline jumpers on the Man Show. Where his base was. His income.

Don't fall for his shtick.

If murdering old people is found to save the environment he'll be using his armed body guards to shoot them on site. As long as it's on camera and he can cry about it during his monologue.

Or he might just be sincere based on where he is at any given moment in his life. I don't know. Either is plausible to me.

We sure spend a lot of time knowing how others think and their intent. As long as we can ignore what someone is saying based on knowing what they really think we never really have to argue with them. We can discount them completely! YEA

You may care about this more than me.

The man show was great.

Kimmel's infant son would be dead if his father had poverty level income and lived in one of several states...that can have a lasting impact on a person. or not. I defer to other's with more knowledge of him, even though based on his politics.

and he's funnier than Corolla...HA!

He's a comedian.
A talk show host.
He's not terrible at his job.
He's extremely gifted at capitalizing on the rant du juor.

As evidenced by some of the posts in here.

all the talk about Corolla and Kimmel just shows the values vacuum of the cons....

This legal mud wrestling between a sitting President and a porn star over their sexual behavior while he and his wife were having their first child has been met with silence, and so, acceptance. This by the party of family values, one that scorched every politician who engaged in similar behavior before this presidency.

I laugh so much at them claiming the moral high ground I no longer post much proving it. At this point they are funnier when unaware that we all know.

One of the great gifts that God has bestowed upon conservatives is the ability to think about more than one thing at a time.

So while we might say "I dislike liver and onions" it does not imply that we do like tofu burgers.

An intelligent person, therefore, can discuss the hypocrisy of a Jimmy Kimmel when the subject is brought up, without condoning hypocrisy in other arenas.

So no. Silence is not acceptance.

But since you DO think that silence is acceptance, I ask how loud you were when president Clinton raped Kathleen Wiley.
I've got other questions, but we can start there.
