This cigar is not what it appears to be. It is one of the lightest Maduros I have ever smoked. It began mildly from the beginning with very little flavor other than a gentle tobacco. I noticed a gentle sweetness about halfway through the cigar, but it was gone before I could register the undernotes of it. Overall, possibly the most bland Maduro I have ever smoked. There was no zeal, no depth, but it did have a huge hidden secondary effect. This beauty apparently has one of the highest concentrations of nicotine I have ever experienced. It left me so light headed by halfway, that I was forced to put it out shortly afterwards. I am a big, burly individual, and this little cigar kicked my butt...... Therefore, 2 stars for being the blandest cigar ever, but I will toss another star out there for being the first to kick my butt. Lmao. Thus it ranks 3 of 5 stars, but definitely not my favorite.

Cath,
I have a neighbor who is a huge RP fan; we were talking/smoking recently and he recounted EXACTLY the same experience. Kinda weird actually, his words echo'd yours eerily. Boring but buzzy.
I'm still trying to find the love with Rocky.... only a couple so far that I find even remotely interesting. Did enjoy the Royale torpedo on my birthday.

Maybe my taste buds are shot, but I like this one. One of the better RP's that I've had...

To each their own, some people like a spiced rum, while others would rather sip on Mount Gay. I prefer the spiced. lol so that's probably why I found it so dull, or should I go as far as calling that cigar a Vanilla? lol

I agree. After a few months of marrying it is a very good darkie. Herfing

Should I let my remaining ones sit for a long time in my humidor, and see if they get better?

Ok, I let them set in my humidor for a week and just pulled out one today. I think I may have been too quick to judge this cigar, either that or I smoked it far too quickly. I am taking my time with this current one, and I must say, excellent dessert cigar.

It is very subtle, but if you take small drags and savor it, the flavor begins to unfold for you. Definitely not one to smoke quickly.
