What happened to their mobile site? It’s like it doesn’t work right at all and not at all user friendly. Why did they change it? It’s horrible. They may have just a lost a customer. I’m sure I won’t be the only one.

Perhaps I find change annoying, but this change looks like it will take too much time to navigate, particularly after the black screen interlude. I put in a few bids this AM, but then decided this was not the time to buy cigars here.

Anyone else have an order processed Sunday morning instead of next Thursday like I have selected? Waiting to see if there was a system good during the upgrade before calling

Yes. With closing the old site and opening up the new site, any orders in the old site imported into an order this morning.

If you win anything else this week, we will get that order on your normal processing day, in your case Thursday.

Good morning everyone!

Some of the long term forum members may remember, we haven't had a site change since about 2010. So, it was much needed to refresh our site.

The forum will remain the same, we did not make any changes to this.

On a mobile device, there is no longer a mobile site. We have one full site.

If you encounter any issues, feel free to inbox DaMarie or myself, or send us a customer service message.

Thanks for your continued patronage.

I don't mind the changes that much, but pages are loading SO SLOW. This morning I have been on two different computers, two different wi-fi's and two different ISP's and on both the pages are taking forever. Even worse on my phone. If going to make the site more complicated with more pictures, drop-downs, pop-ups, etc., need to add some server power!

"Quickview" on the Quickies bids seems to be the worst, most of the time just the spinning circle utill i give up.

So far, it DOES seem like the photos match the Titles and descriptions at least .... :)

I know that more than likely, I will be the only one that likes the new look. I can see everything a lot better. I do not like change just for the simple fact of having to re-learn the navigation changes. I have seen it time and time again every time a change happens you get the "OMG its less user friendly" which is not really the case. Most times it just that the user is slower due to not knowing how to navigate but over time that changes with use and next thing you know its just as user friendly as it was.

I have no idea why the change took place because I am a peon and didn't get the memo. To do a complete site change and it be back up and running over night with no crash I am going to roll with this. Great job guys! Thank you for not making me have to wait days to get back to my daily ramblings and being able to stay in close contact with my B & S OTL.

Shana! I am still mad at you for choosing another man to marry over me!

Could they make the site run any slower???

Have been on sites with dial-up service that not only ran faster, but all the links actually worked.

Love the efficiency of the CBid IT department. Here we go again…

Was there any attempt to notify the users? I don't remember getting a heads up about that. I don't mind the re-design but that's kind of lousy to charge people several days before the date we had agreed to.

Shana:

Once you get past the website update, somebody needs to do something about cigarbid's Facebook page. No REAL posts since a single one in June 2017 and the one before that was from May, 2016! Somebody either needs to keep it updated or delete it altogether.

You must have just LOVED coming into work this morning :)

The site is a lot faster if you pick a specific cigar from the drop down list. If you try to scan the bids it is very slow!! Kind of kills the looking for a steal opportunities.

Just got notified that they are shipping last week's orders early and without shipping charges. Maybe they learned something from the last fiasco. Good job CBID!

I'm not bidding on anything this week so I don't know how shipping will be with the new system

Yea this just blows now!

Common, the "If it's not broke don't fix it" didn't cross anybody's minds over there...

The old site was way better, with more functionality and not to state the obvious, but from the looks of it, had more cigars. The new site is slow, takes to long to navigate and from the looks of it has less product that is being offered.

Yea everything about this **** sucks as of right now!

I really enjoyed using this to grow my collection over the years, unfortunately it looks like the time has passed and I will be looking around for other outlets.

I mean common, for BOXES your offering 50 or so, choices for the next 5 days? And 3/4 of those are cheap filler cigars that would be give a ways to non smokers while your out golfing or somewhere else, just being polite. And I have to search page by page through these because you did away with the "ALL selection.

From the looks of it, I'm chalking this one up to greed. The site seems to be streamlining product placement more directly and overall directing you around more while doing so. Thus allowing them to have more control over product spread and keeping their gains more fluid. I'm definitely seeing a tighter control of the ease of bidding and additionally the product being offered has more spread for profit. Think Cohiba vs CAO who will be a better sale and what has a better spread for the company selling four 5 packs or a box?

I used to enjoy over the years picking up a box of Padron (definitely YEARS ago) or Ashton and so on and so on. Now as the years have gone by, it all gets filtered through the profit calculator and my selections of premium cigars have well since gone away and been replaced with the (CI) house brands or the like.

I enjoy spending money on good cigars and I spend a good deal of it, probably way more than I should. The allure of this site was that I could bid on decent Boxes or have selections of premium cigars that weren't local to me and get a deal on them while doing so. I enjoyed the bidding and it was fun, but as of years past the selections have become more limited and now with the site update, this just is in no way as enjoyable as it once was.

Our apologies, we are working on the site slowness.

Due to MAP (Manufactured Advertised Pricing), we are unable to offer Padrons, Ashton, etc. as this goes against what the manufacture wants their product sold for.

In due time, we will be back to adding more product offerings.

This is not uncommon. With a lot of the shop owners I know and online sales owners they will not stock Padron's, DavidOff, etc for this very reason. One shop owner told me that Davidoff requires quite a few thousands of dollars investment from the store owner before davidoff will even allow the B&M to carry Davidoff. Then add the fact that the company requires the cigar to be sold at a specific price. The store owner is not allowed to pass the savings to the customer.

#92...That is interesting. I had a local shop owner tell me that a shop has to do at least $20,000 a year in Fuente business before they can sell Opus. Kinda sucks for the smaller shop owners...

That sounds about right from what I have been told. Yes it does suck for the smaller shop owners for sure. To boot it takes away from the owners to be able to pass savings to their patrons. My local shop owner could afford to have Davidoff but said F Davidoff lol. He was more upset that the fact he couldn't help out his customers and to have Davidoff dictate his business is what really pissed him off. I must admit even though he would have some customers buy the cigars for sure but to be looking out and feel that way for his customers, well he gained my respect and my business right then and there.

Peckerhead, I'm afraid they used the same "crack" team to design this new awesome version.
And no mobile site?..........hmm................guess cbid decided to get waaaaaaay ahead of the curve here..........yeah..........mobile sites are a thing of the past.

It would be funny...........................if it wasn't so sad.
