The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was created in the aftermath of the Great Recession, when Wall Street investment bankers' criminal sub-prime mortgage conspiracy scheme nearly crashed the world's economy. That industry which controls money and wealth, more so than any other, needs strong regulation, or the average investor will continually be ripped off.

The CFPB has been going after the finance and investment industry, on behalf of the average consumer....until Trump put his Wall Street connected man in charge. Lawsuits that are in progress are being dropped and regulations that have passed are now being reversed.

Hang onto your wallets folks...

Bombshell report emerges of alleged Trump affair with Playboy model

Donald Trump had an affair with former Playmate of the Year Karen McDougal — whom he met at a party for “The Apprentice” in 2006 while married to his current wife, Melania, according to an explosive report Friday that details the great lengths to which the future president went to conceal his alleged indiscretions from the press.

McDougal wrote in an eight-page, handwritten note — which her friend John Crawford shared with the New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow — that Trump “immediately took a liking to me, kept talking to me — telling me how beautiful I was etc.

“It was so obvious that a Playmate Promotions exec said, ‘Wow, he was all over you — I think you could be his next wife,’” according to the piece, titled “Donald Trump, a Playboy Model, and a System for Concealing Infidelity.”

She said she was initially wowed by Trump.

“I was so nervous! I was into his intelligence + charm. Such a polite man,” she wrote. “We talked for a couple hours — then, it was ‘ON’! We got naked + had sex.”

But McDougal added that she was stunned when Trump offered her money as she was getting dressed after their romp.

“I looked at him (+ felt sad) + said, ‘No thanks — I’m not ‘that girl.’ I slept w/you because I like you — NOT for money’ — He told me ‘you are special,’” she wrote, according to Farrow’s account.

so, I honestly don't care about the sex lives and infidelities of politicians, unless they are espousing morality as one of their virtues and publicly questioning the life styles of anyone else...

what does bother me then, is the blind eye given by the Religious Right to candidates who fail the morality test. Had they taken a "pass" in the most recent cycle of elections I would have respected the move.

True.
One of the best things about the Trump Presidency:
People can disagree with him without being called a racist.

Not like when Obama was in office.
When anybody who disagreed with him was call racist by the whiny, thin-skinned, fuq-sticks who pretend to be progressive but are just media-driven, brain-dead, race-baiting scum of the earth.

Don’t mistake calling a racist or a bigot a racist or a bigot as calling everyone or most a racist or a bigot. Not everyone that disagreed with obama was a racist or a bigot. But some were and are. Your argument statement above TG, no matter how unintentional does provide cover for racists and bigots just as much as those throwing the race card around silly nilly.

Tg is not a racist or bigot in my opinion and disagreed with most EVERTHING obama did. I think obama is similar in crappyness to GWB and Carter. I don’t think I’m a racist or bigoted. There were and are some racist and bigoted things said in here in regard to the Obama’s, and there are a couple people in here I consider bigots. There is no mutual exclusivity in either direction.

Really?
I disagree with everything he's done and without a doubt everything he stands for.
I don't feel any relief that I can't be called a racist.

Besides, who wouldn't rather be called a whiny, thin-skinned, fuq-stick who pretends to be progressive but are just media-driven, brain-dead, race-baiting scum of the earth than a racist?

Thank you for reinforcing my point.

You'd rather be called that vile diatribe than a racist.
Yet that's what conservatives were too often called for simply disagreeing with Obama.

I'd say that ALL racists disagreed with Obama.
But after 8 years of disagreeing with Obama (not on everything, although I understand how I give that impression on this board) I can safely say that all too often the political discussions/debates led to race and then to accusations. Even when people would buffer it, they'd say "well you have to admit that most of the backlash against Obama is because he's black".

It's like they've never seen partisan bickering before.

And you missed mine.

If someone called you anti-American would you be offended?
Probably not. You know the truth.

Why does racist cut so deep?

And the flip side is all or most accusations of bigotry were discounted as nonsense.

Both are bothersome. One uses accusation of racism as a political tool. The other allows racism to exist in the open with cover mainstreamed. Both bad we just choose the one we find worse.

Politics sucks.

Because it's too easy to believe.
People think "well, he does disagree with the black president".

Call someone a mother fuqer and they get angry, but not because people think they actually have sex with their mother.

Suggest that someone dislikes people of color and people can believe it, with or without reason.

Did you really not understand that?

Call me whatever you want. I don't give a ****!

If it was purely politics that had you at odds with Obama, and I tend to believe you, then why defend yourself? State you case and move on.

Not so sure I heard those disagreeing being called racist here nearly as much as Obama supporters/voters being told they were that way due to white guilt...that always pizzed me off.

98.2 majority here, after all.

Easy for a liberal to say it's no big deal because the American media isn't accusing liberals of being racist.
Conservatives and Trump supporters are accused of it every day. To some, it's automatically assumed.
And you're unwittingly in cahoots. You spend more time telling me it's "no big deal" then you do refuting it when somebody makes the accusation.

Which is fine.

To be fair, I've never been accused of this to my face. Only on the interwebs where testicular fortitude can be faked.
No different then an internet racist calling somebody the N word through his keyboard.
