It's painful.. maybe she needs more or a different flavor of pain pill... Think

She said they gave her percocet, so maybe that's what's bothering her... she also suffers from crippling migraines and that could be what's happening... she's just worried... me too if I'm being honest... probably over nothing though...

Now that I'm thinking about it, i should probably go up to the hospital and try some of the meds they're giving her, just to make sure they're efficient enough...

I got the morphine drip when they rebuilt my ankle... that is surprising they don't do it for knee replacements...

No, it's the new 0, 1, 1000, 250000 depending on which operator you throw between the two 500s.

I don't like their fries. Burgers are good, but not sure I get the hype.

I've lived here almost 27 years and I think I've been there less than 2 dozen times.

I will admit to being biased in favor of in n out... the slaughterhouse i started my career at killed a large percentage of in n outs cows and their attention to quality and freshness are unmatched in the industry, period... it's definitely a burger for those who prefer the flavor of fresh beef over heavily seasoned beef...

Double double add grilled onions, no spread (i hate you mayonnaise), no ketchup, no mustard, just the grease of the cheese and onions... and you gotta get the fries "well done"...

I've had both of my knees done and it hurt like hell......the first one nothing seemed to work on the pain,......I'm usually pretty good with pain, but damn did that hurt........Dr. pointed out the fact that you basically had your leg amputated and then reattached........the PT is the same, lots of pain, take your pain meds about a half hour or so before PT and ice the hell out of it.....ice is your friend and that cryo-cuff is an awesome invention.......prayers for Diana, and it is worth it once you actually start getting mobile againPray

Dude, that musta really hurt...that morphine drip was essential in the 24-48 hours or so immediately after surgery, 2010. It had a button I could push to administer a dose without calling for a nurse. I'm sure it was metered so that I didn't use more than is safe, but I seemed to be hitting that button pretty often...it was very noticeable when they took me off the drip and put me on pain pills, oxycontin...

Not sure why you didn't get the drip...

Right knee replaced 11/14 and left replaced 10/15. No drip either time but they had me so full of pain meds it really did not matter.

Looking at a TKR in my near future and you bassturds are not helping. My only question: Can I expect to be totally active (run, bike, hike, etc) once the PT is complete?

DED, actual recovery time can be 6 months or more... I think it really depends on how bad you want it tho... I'm not in pain anymore unless I bend it wrong.. still have trouble putting on my shoe but I do it.. I admit I don't do the assigned exercises as much as I should but I can walk as much as I need to.. I didn't run before and haven't tried but I prolly could... Mellow

Went to RV show and then out for pizza.

It also depends on if at any time during the procedure someone hears the surgeon go "OOOPPPSSS, Utttooooohhh, or my favorite,.... O Chit Beer

I hope your total knee arthroplasty goes well and remember... Have fun!

Takes about 12 months for it to totally feel like it is your knee. Biking and hiking shortly after PT completion. Running? Don't know about that, thought has not crossed my mind.

Well the wife should have been done with her route this morning but nope. Printing presses went down so she is going to have a long day.

67 high low 47 and guess what. Rain.

I need blue skies, Autumn Leaves, mountains, trees, bears chitting in the woods. If I was real lucky a horse and a trail but no I got Memphis.... WTF its so freaking gray here.

Ah well a man can dream.

A little humor, old man. I milked cows for years. My knees aren't in great shape either.

Get a coat.

Mornin' gang.

My commute distance stayed pretty much the same, around 45 miles. The time going to work was about an hour and 15 minutes because of afternoon traffic, but I think I can shave some time off that with a different route. My ride home took me 45 minutes. In Banning it was an hour plus, each way.

Lots of paperwork and typing, but no grunt work. My feet are happier.
