Is this another process crime like Flynn, where he actually committed no crime of lying to the FBI but copped to the plea anyways......some evil schit going down in the swamp.

Since Flynn is cooperating with the investigation, they gave him a break by just charging him with lying to the FBI.
I'm sure that there are more serious charges available for Mueller to use, if need be. That's how this stuff works.

Z, if I understand it right Flynn could have be charged under the Logan act. The article I read was not specific on what Gates did or didn't do.

Yeah, good luck with that....tell me again how many times someone has been convicted using that unconstitutional "law". If you know the details anyways you know that was past thin.

Bob I was joking with you buddy......I appreciate your passion.

Didn't say it was good or bad, just thought that would be the logical charge.

The Logan act isn't it.
I'm sure that Mueller has a litany of charges for all of these guys.
Money laundering is probably at the top of the list for Gates.

Flynn and his son were looking at many years in jail as are manafort and gates. Pappysnappydude was too. They chose door number 3 and didn’t do it because they did nothing wrong but process.

If you beleive Flynn did nothing wrong and was framed by procedure and plead just to plead because of that then good on you. I don’t beleive that. It takes an awful lot of reality bending and a lot of faith in trump and his crony’s being the only truthful ones.

Flynn was dirty and got caught. He and pappy were the start. Manafort stinks to high heaven and folks new it at the time. That’s no secret.

And I’m not even prepared to say trump did anything wrong. But these folks pleading did. You don’t plead to a greater charge.

Trump says taking the fifth means guilt. These folks are pleading guilty to lesser charges and cooperating.

I don't think this is anywhere near over. You don't get a deal unless you have something worth dealing for.

And have done something wrong and stand a substantial risk of the prosecutor proving it

The thing that really cuts through fake news and spin is the law of parsimony. Mueller is and always has been a straight shooting Republican with a clean reputation even with some of the people throwing diversionary flares now. I don’t buy the he turned evil deep state crap and trump is the knight in shining white armor and the only one truthful crap. It doesn’t add up.

As I said, trump may be clean. Flynn, manafort, Gates, pappy snappy are not. All but manafort have or are on the cusp of admitting guilt. We don’t have to guess. Others may follow.

Libby has nothing to do with this. This is about Flynn, Gates, pappy and manny. libby’s Case was his own and nothing but a yea but diversion.

These guys are admitting guilt to lessor charges. We do not have to guess. It’s not complicated.

Something about Trump...he is able to inflict temporary blindness, deafness and specific anosmia on some previously rational people...especially those who are predisposed to accept being ruled by a wealthy self serving leader...

Well if that's the case which very well could be, That's the best argument people can use that your vote doesn't count.

Sorry, not most...he seems to only have the support of 35-40% of the American public, according to the polls that measure his approval since he took office...

I seem to recall that the election had a three million difference in the number of votes between the candidates...Trump got 3 million fewer votes...that's a lot less than "most"

but he did win, in the way it matters most, by winning more states and by getting the most electoral votes.

We need to toss the electoral college and enact rank choice voting.
