So here are the pictures of the Behike. Hopefully I sized it well enough. From everything I read, it seems legit.

No hole that I noticed. The picture makes it look a lot more veiny than in person.

It has the little pig tail thing. Can't tell if it looks like it is 3 layers like what I read.

As I said in the other thread, I don't know you, your friend or if this cigar is authentic or not. For a small photo on a notebook computer screen, the band looks ok - but that alone should not be taken as definitive.

Maybe your friend is exaggerating the price, or can't remember it, or just got taken for an expensive ride.

Not saying that is the case here, but keep in mind that cigars can be rebanded to make them appear as something else. Do the measurements check out? Ring gauge can be up or down by a little bit (1/64 to 2/64 ish) as the cigars age and swell or shrink a tad.

If you haven't smoked a Cohiba, a Behike in particular, you wouldn't know what they are supposed to taste like. The hype would make one think it is impossible but I've actually had some pretty raunchy tasting authentic Cuban cigars, and they weren't Guantanameras or J.L. Piedras. I've also had some really good tasting fakes, so go figure.

Yeah, who knows in regards to the price. He could have been full of crap and trying to impress me or could have got had. Doesn't really matter, still an amazing gift.

How do you measure ring gauge? I probably wouldn't go through the trouble, but would be interesting to know. I will just smoke it and hopefully enjoy it.

Ring gauge is in 64ths of an inch, so getting really accurate would ideally utilize a caliper or micrometer. You could use a go/no-go circle gauge but have to be careful to not damage the wrapper leaf. If you have a machinist's ruler you can measure the diameter of the foot.

This page has a long explanation and a printable sheet that you can put the foot up to the various sized circles and get an idea that way
https://www.cigarsintern...ar-ring-gauges/1818022/

Remember to turn off scaling/shrink to fit page when you print and to use a ruler to verify that a few of the circles and the rule are actually correct before trusting the printout.

Looks like it may actually be legit. Good for you Hamk.

Measure the length, it'll be easier to know if it's a 52, 54 or 56. 4.7" 5.7" and 6.5" respectively.

Enjoy it no matter what it may be.

If those are real it's the fugliest wrappers I ever saw on a Behike. Pictures look much more veiny and mottled. Notice the little spots of discoloration? All Behikes I have seen have near perfect smooth wrappers with no imperfections.

Can't quite see the caps entirely but they don't look like triple caps at all in the pics.

54 and 5.7. The pictures do it no justice. Really. Doesn't look veiny at all in person and colors are perfect throughout. Picture is in horrible lighting.

I will. Not sure when I will have time, but I will write up a full review when I do I have it. I feel obligated to do the euodias review first though. I have put that off a few months. He sent me an Unbanded a while back and wanted me to post a review. No clue what it is.

I'm serious, BHK wrappers do not look like that. They look more delicate like a Davidoff which they steam roll except they do still have that nasty Cuban look like a wrinkled t-shirt also, the surface is too oily; you only see that in non-cuban brands.

You might have a 25% chance of legitimacy but then again most counterfeits are too lazy to do the pigtail so that's a plus.

The behikes I've seen seem to have impeccable wrappers if nothing else and very uniform in color.

But hard to tell from that picture.

It is funny how we are scrutinizing a 30 dollar cigar like it's some ancient relic.

I know little about CCs.
But if I saw a Cohiba with a band like that, a cap like that, and a wrapper like that?
I would not buy.

I've had 3 fake coobans......2 were absolutely wretched, tossed almost immediately......one was a decent yard gar.
Smoke it!

Having tried to photograph cigars before with the modern digital point and shoots and phones, I'm gonna side with Hank on it not being a good photo. I almost got the point of dusting off an old light tent, remote lighting, medium format macro lenses, and all the other **** for product shots. Nothing I could do with a cell phone or little scratch n sniff digital could yield a decent photo of a cigar.

Not saying if it's authentic or not, just agreeing that the photos are probably not a good representation and are accentuating things that might not look that way in person.

My opinion is the pic on the left, the band appears off and the hologram appears different. Actually need clearer pics to tell.

Middle pic--are there fine lines inside the ladies hologram?

Are all the letters raised?

Will the cigar stand up straight on its foot without rocking or falling?

If it's fake, they did a pretty good job with this but hard to tell if my notes above are correct about the cigar or not.

I'm quite sure this has been figured out by now. LOL

The pictures are rough to tell, but the band is super straight, confirmed fine lines inside the ladies holo, all raised letter, stands up perfect. I read through a billion internet pages and triple checked everything and it appears to be legit. If not, oh well, I didn't pay for it. haha
