as for the actual purpose of the thread...

there is now hard proof, per the investigators, that election tampering happened and continues to happen, as just a part of a purposeful campaign by Putin and Russia to divide and influence our country. Instead of deciding this has been a waste of time, perhaps it's time to stop searching for proof of what we hope to be true and instead let the truth come to light.

And it is also time the hard core right wing believers accept the now established facts that they have been partially nourished by a Russian diet of FAKE NEWS!

And so far we are being told that only unwitting Americans in position of influence were involved.

If we are lucky we will not have to go through a very painful process, so lets hope Trump's gang really was not knowingly complicit.

The Russian goal seems to be to create American public discourse.
Look no further than a dossier that is assuredly anti-Trump.
And it appears the Russian influence helped inspire the anti-Trump rallies soon after the election.
We can't just look at the anti-Hillary stuff and point fingers at Trump's camp.
And most importantly, the major "nourishment" that boosted Trump was the DNC email scandal. I don't like foreign fingers meddling in our affairs, but this is clearly a case where we shouldn't shoot the messenger. There is no scandal if the Dems don't email the things they did.

So Russia may have had an impact. We should do something about it. But hanging this on Trump is irresponsible.

Trump isn't gonna run for a second term, if he finishes his four years...pretty sure he wants to get to work on a project he's been wanting to do for decades...building the biggest Trump resort in the world ... in Moscow...he's greased enough Russian palms now (not following though with Russian sanctions for meddling in our elections was a huge gift) so it is finally a done deal...

According to the indictment, the Russian operatives bought credit card and bank account numbers online to evade the security checks at PayPal.

On Friday, Mueller's office revealed that one of those who sold account numbers, Richard Pinedo, 28, of Santa Paula, Calif., had pleaded guilty to one count of identity fraud.

The criminal charge against Pinedo says he knowingly dealt with people outside the U.S., both in buying and selling account numbers, but a law enforcement official said there is no evidence that he knew he was dealing with a Russian intelligence operation.
