I'm open to suggestions. Figured we could start with winner takes all and then also change it from game to game. The easy was would to jist make every loser has to ship to once place. Could do winner takes all and 2nd doesn't lose or gain.

A couple guys used to run a poker game a few years ago, that's what got me interested in the boards.

Now, not so much. Going to the post office sucks.

Csiegels had us setup with a poker room and we played weekly here for 5'ers until most of the losers started sending bundle cigars and ruined it.

Let's try to run a test game this Thursday around 6pm? Later is fine too if that's too early.

I love poker, but suck at it. That's why I'm not sure about when it goes live for cigars.

Haha. Good point. Forgot not everyone lives in the center or my universe. I'm eastern standard time. So 6pm east coast might be early.

Ok trying to find best way to invite people looks like the best way is for you to sign up and then find the group and ask for an invite and then I will accept.

Just successfully tested a game with phil. He was able to sign up login and play a full game. Ran well without an hiccups. We both played on computers. I believe it uses flash so don't know if it works on phones yet.

There was an older member that tried this before. Believe it was csiegels.

Played in and watched a few tourneys. It was a lot of fun, but only lasted a short time before fizzling out. Wheel even played in a few.

See the thread cacman just posted, that was a weekly thing we did for a wile.

I also started a league that was fun

http://www.cigarbid.com/...D-Poker-League-Season-2

If you get this going I could play depending on start time. We started at 9pm est to allow the other time zones a chance to make it. We had between 6 and 20 players any given week.

"Public" tab on the right side of the tool bar at the top / click on "groups" / scroll down until you find "CBID" (should be on first or second page as of this moment)

Should be an option to "join group" under where it says "view group" on the right.

Has it been decided when the first test game will be? (other than the one you did with Phil...or are we skipping that now?)

I would definitely be up for a league like Rock did. Keeping people out of the post office every week and limiting losses might attract a bigger crowd. Food for thought...

Games arent set in stone yet. Jist trying to get the first game in then go from there. The beauty of the site Being used is that anyone in the group can start a game with any of the other members at any time. But a set time weekly would be a optimal for starters.

I couldn't get it to work on my phone since the games are played within Flash Player. I am sure someone more tech savvy than me might be able to figure that out...maybe.

Ok read up on suggestions. A lot to take in. First, I have both the guys that used to run their versions of games/tourney which is a hard act to follow and not trying to step on toes just trying to get some action going. 2nd, lots of good suggestions or possible issues going forward, i.e. a tournament format with a leaderboard (which this website will easily keep track of) and the problem of sending out smokes constantly.
Not so sure. Personally for me I usually can find a free weeknight to play but would hate to be locked down to a weekly time. I saw that has been mitigated by taking your top finishes and omitting lowest scores or games you didn't participate.

Few hours to go before our practice round so you can get the lay of the land with the controls/site etc. Reminder it's flash enabled so pc's might be the only option.
