Why not just smoke the regular Cromagnon if you cant find these? Both cigars have the same binder, filler and the same wrapper. The only difference is the Black Irish also has a Candela Wrapper. Unless you love Candela wrappers I wouldn't worry about it.

You may want to look into the Asylum 13 Ogre. Habano and Candela barber pole cigar. I absolutely love these.

if I had a candela wrapped cigar, I'd give it to you ... there was a time when candela wrapped absolutely dominated the US market, not so much because of demand, but because someone somewhere thought Americans loved the stuff ... I personally thought that one of the best things that occurred during the 'boom' back in the 90s was that the cigar makers learned there was a huge market in this country for something other than candela ...

IMO candelas are best used to buy something rather than smoke.

I think many of you are missing the point. These cigars are not your father's Candelas. These are both barber poles. The Black Irish uses a candela and broadleaf wrapper. The Ogre uses a candela and Habana wrapper. I've smoked several of the Ogre and they are a very unique, interesting nic puro. It does not taste anything like a regular candela. I would assume the Black Irish is much the same, and I personally would jump at the opportunity to try one.

I think the Illusione candelas are very tasty, your and both the 88 and 888.
