My Inland M1 Carbine, rebuilt after the war at an arsenal in Washington State.

Like many mine is a mix of parts from different companies, but she shoots so straight I don't care what part is where.

I was going through extractors but now it seems that my gunsmith has found some NOS, he put one in about two months ago and last friday I took it to the range to find out.

Being built for combat I did not go easy on it.

Slapped a 18" splatter onto a torso target and ran it out to the max length of 75' and ran 15 rounds through in an instant.

I was rewarded with 12 in the blue.

Proceeded to run through 5 more magazines at a quick pace and that rifle was back where it belonged, putting rounds downrange quickly.

Had a 8" on the head, that dang little carbine puts bullets where I want them to go! Not as well as my RR but darn good enough for a 70 year old combat rifle and iron sights.

Thanks! I went to the latest one to open up here, Shoot Point Blank, bought a half hour and that was just enough for the mags i brought.
Usual haunt is Range at 355...had to try this new one as its a bit closer to home.
Outside of the cost of .30 this has to be the most fun rifle i've ever shot, light recoil, quick to reload; that said its not the fastest to sight in on a target but makes up for it in rate of fire. You'll be ducking as I put rounds close enough while i figure out the sight picture----I hope!!

Why do you folk feel the need to own military combat rifles that spew 500 rounds of death per minute? If the Founding Fathers had foreseen the carnage on our streets due to these killing machines, they never would have included the 2nd Amendment in the BOR. No one needs an automatic with 100 round clips for hunting.

Sorry. Must of been channeling the demons of the AOL comment sections. Out demon Hogg, out!

Really, really cool carbine, Waldo. I bet it's a blast to shoot. I need to get me one someday. Is is much more expensive to shoot then 5.56 or 7.62?

The M1 is one I do not own. I have shot a few in my time and I will say this. They are nail drivers to say the least, especially in the right hands. I would love to own one. Besides it would look damn good sitting next to my Mosin.

Drafter the CMP occasionally gets them as well as .45’s, Garands and 1903’s.
We used to buy .22’s from them in the 70’s we used them as range rifles for our shooting club.

As to the cost of ammo not so bad now but when I was trying to stock up a couple years ago seemed .30 was 10-15 cents higher per round for comparable quality.
The ammo I used last week was Korean War manufacture!

After owning one of these I can see why guys collect them. Cripes anyone want my Rock River CAR 15? Lol I’ll go get another!

Found an m-1 in the rafters of an old cabin abandoned in the woods for over 50 years. The guy I was with said way cool can I look at it. I hand it to him he points it to the ground and pulls the trigger. KABOOM! ...... the thing was loaded and went off. It's amazing in Florida humidity that it still worked..... and didn't blow up.

He was purposely aiming at the ground pretending to shoot it. Doesn't make it much better though. The guy had never had a gun in is hand before. My mistake for handing it to him. He learned a valuable lesson after that

Be careful some gun-grabbing liberal doesn't come after your assault rifle!

I've been a member there for many years. I live 30 minutes north of Bonfield.

I have never shot at Bonfield, I hear it’s great.

It’s on my list of places to go!
