Awhile back in my first tenure using Cigar Bid I bought a bundle of these delicious little cigars called Don Felo petites (Felitos) for extremely cheap. I really loved the bizarre 1970's looking yellow and orange bands and the cute little guy on the package. Then I lit it... Man what a nice little smoke.....Spicy and flavorful,.terrific with a cup of black coffee.

I thought Don Felo was gone forever but while browsing another websites brand list I saw The Don and the memories came flooding back..

I can't wait to buy more of these. They are still pretty affordable. To my astonishment they have them in all sizes. Do you think I should get the Felitos again or go for the Robusto or Corona?

At under a buck a piece, why don't you grab a bundle of each? You can't have too many dog rocke...., er, I mean great inexpensive cigars.

In all seriousness, if you enjoyed them, I would go for the Felitos as that is the size you familiar with. If they are still as you remember, then maybe try the other sizes.

Never heard of it. The blend probably changed and it is probably horrible now. Don't fall for it.

UPDATE:

Smoking a Felito right now..... The wrapper is toothy with a nice thickness and texture. Upon lighting, I'm getting a scrumptious mouthfeel and an excellent draw for a small smoke.

Creaminess, followed by some delicious spice. There is no doubt this is 100% Cuban seed tobacco. This little beaut tastes just like I remembered. I can't wait to try the Robusto.

I'd love to brother but you can buy singles for only $1.37 and up at that certain other retailer so its probably easier to just add a few to your order if you are skeptical on buying a whole bundle.

Well heck, if Hoyo says they're decent, I might have to take a gander.
Not that I don't trust the opinion of GNF..................but................after the CAO Brazilia is the greatest cigar in the world bit,
I had my doubts.

Just scatter a few in the water and the fish will jump into the boat to get away.

UPDATE:

I have now tried the Don Felo Robusto. It's a big beefy cigar with the same luscious toothy wrapper. Upon lightng we again get a large cloud of smoke from an effortless draw.

My lone criticism: The robust starts out a little less flavorful than the Felito. There is some grassiness where as the Felito is pure flavor country right from the start.

Still, the robusto develops into that same delicious medium bodied flavor of the Felito. I enjoyed this big one for 2 hours.

GNF official ratings. Don Felo Felito - 95

Don Felo Robusto - 90

I used to have a buddy that would chit himself over some random crap he had like a long time ago. Would rant and rave for an hour solid about certain goods or products. It was always bottom of the barrel discount crap that really sucked.

I buy from dollar stores a lot mind you. I've had some awful stuff but nothing compared to the crap he raved about.
