"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

I am reading a lot of heated comments about president Trump. To me it's really pretty simple. Is he following the above oath he took. This is what a discussion should be about in my opinion.

I totally agree ... but to me, it's more than a little bit contradictory that no one seemed to be in much of a lather when it was Obummy ignoring his oath ... now that it's not everybodys favorite lefty looking the other way, there isn't room on the bandwagon for oath compliance ...

Obama passively whipped people on the opposite side into a frenzy. I believe he was intentional and petty but certainly sly about it.

This president just kicks the door down and shows his orange junk.

whatever the merits of that point might be, Obummer certainly didn't concern himself with preserving or protecting the constitution ... he worked overtime on dismantling multiple aspects of it but was given a pass by those on the left who now can't create enough frenzy about Trumps actions ...

I get it. Daca, the bathroom bill, the iran deal - some of obama most celebrated "achievements" circumvented the proper procedures.

We are all hypocrites and modern politicians are almost exclusively statists. I really don't think the right is leaps and bounds beyond the left in this regard.

Bush (who got my vote) and the nsa weren't exactly bastions of constitutionality.

My support in the primary was for Cruz. I think he was the only one who may have returned to some semblance of a constitutional republic.
