seem to recall that they may have been bought, I am trying to find out if they will repair/replace my cutter that has a damaged blade. it was a gift from Mikey and I really like it.

Palio was sold a year or so ago to Quality Importers. I believe they will honor the warranty on the old cutters and IIRC, they are still offering it on the new ones. I would try calling Quality Importers customer support 954-602-5637.

Frank,

If you can't get satisfaction, I have around a dozen of them that I got here for dirt cheap. I'll be glad to mail you a couple.

I heard the best way to sharpen them is to wrap aluminum foil around Victor's pecker and cut it a few times.

Yeah but I heard that leaves the cutter smelling like rotten taco meat. Gonz

Thanks, Adam.

Eventually I got around to calling. Nice guy named Julio calls me back next day, yadda yadda yadda…
got a replacement in the mail today.

Think I mailed it to them 10 days ago, included a $7 check, so very swift turnaround. Haven't used it, I can tell it's not quite up to the quality that Mikey sent me several years ago, but have to report a satisfactory experience.

and it says Lifetime Warranty in the new box too.

Agreed. I was picking them up here for $4-$5 each, and won a bunch. No where near as good as the original ones. If they want $7 to send them back under warranty, then the ones I have are now "throw away" cutters.

Mikey!

I loved that Palio you sent, I don't know how or when the blades chipped. Must have been on a thick, woody vein or the like...

yours had more weight, snapped smoother, may have even been able to handle a larger ring gauge. Haven't used the new one yet, I'm sure it works, but I'll miss the quality.

Good to see ya, bruddah! Still teaching?

Chinese manufacturing now most likely, but I probably bought one of the same quality. I heard Xikar was selling sometime this year or late last year and wanted a lifetime cutter and was not sure if I could still swap my Xikars out so I bought a Palio just in case not knowing they were sold until I read this thread. Sad part is in college business courses they teach that Chinese manufacturing is cheaper and better than domestic. I beg to differ but what do I know.
