Diuretics. Changed my life.

I swear I remember this line satirizing L. Ron Hubbard's Dionetics (or whatever scince fiction) from the great movie Repo Man but can't find it in a search.

After eading this and you still think this is a credible religion I feel fort ya.L Ron Hubbard was a quack

Paragraph One;
Xenu (/ˈziːnuː/),[1][2][3] also called Xemu, was, according to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, the dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy" who 75 million years ago brought billions[4][5] of his people to Earth (then known as "Teegeeack") in DC-8-like spacecraft, stacked them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs. Official Scientology scriptures hold that the thetans (immortal spirits) of these aliens adhere to humans, causing spiritual harm

If you need more

Sounds more than plausible to me. All evidence points in that direction.

IIRC wasn't L.Ron Hubbard an LSD proponent. He an Timothy Leary used to take trips on their imaginary DC-8 spaceship to visit Xenu

I hear they’ve quietly been buying up even more real estate in the last 2 years and no one’s sure of the purpose...

Well if I didn't have to pay tax on my landholdings, I would too!

There's a group of nuns who run a huge healthcare organization in my area and when I search tax records/ownership of vacant properties near me, they/affiliates own a majority. Just overgrown grassy fields, impassable wooded lots, swampland, couple properties with nothing but a barn.

If I didn't have to pay property tax I would've bought the 10 acre parcel that came up for sale a few years back directly behind me with no road access. It's now owned by the nuns. Could've had it for $40k. But I'd add about 2k/yr onto my property tax for essentially an unusable plot of land.

$40K for 10 acres of unimproved property...…….Highway robbery. That'd go for 5-10K around here, easement, improved with electric and irrigation it might bring 12-15K.Taxes under $200 a year

Fake smiles and uniforms straight out of Disney World circa 1979.

They're taking large swaths of Ybor City too.

It's no place I want to live. Go and visit. Stay for awhile. It's not as metropolitan as I care for. I like where I'm at right now. Takes me about an hour to get to Tampa and an hour to get to Orlando. 35 minutes to the gulf.

Not really limited. Just figured being close to commissary/exchange, etc would be nice. We do have friends in Jax and it appears to be a pretty cool city from what I have seen.

Yes, but you need to invest a few thousand dollars more to hear the info... but it's GREAT info, life changing, just pay for the courses and you will receive the enlightenment.

(also, if you don't pay for it, we will mark you for shaming and your whole family will disown you).

So it's exactly like regular climate change consensus.

Do you know how many bases Florida has? Tampa has a PX at Macdill and one of the better ran VA hospitals at Bay Pines.

Nobody hardly lives in Ybor. Its bars, Restaurants and concert halls. Sprinkle in some great cigar stores, tattoo shops and ta da...a fun night out. Clearwater downtown? Almost the same thing. There are fantastic places in Central Florida for every price point and every facet.

My worry about the panhandle is it's a storm surge magnet. Same for JAX. The panhandle has some great beaches without a doubt and St.Augustine isn't far from JAX. That place has charm.

I like going to concerts so Central Florida is where I prefer to be. If we want to go to the beach we go for several days at a time and stay there. Where I'm at there are actually hills and it's still rural. I always wanted to live in the country so I'm home.

Leaving California will be a blessing. I know it was for me and my family. I went back lots for work and always hated flying in to LAX or Burbank and having my eyes just burn from the smog. I always forgot how bad it was until I was there. Hopping in a rental car and driving up the PCH would clear my mind. I would really research where in Florida you want to settle, if that's still where you want to live. Maybe rent first to see if it is where you want to set roots. That said, I LOVE this state and call it home. The humidity, the blue sky and the ocean always makes me smile. Did I mention there's no state tax? Yeah.
