'Cause we got a little convoy
Rockin' through the night.
Yeah, we got a little convoy,
Ain't she a beautiful sight?
Come on and join our convoy
Ain't nothin' gonna get in our way.
We gonna roll this truckin' convoy
'Cross the U-S-A.
Convoy!

By the time we got into Tulsa Town,
We had eighty-five trucks in all.
But they's a roadblock up on the cloverleaf,
And them bears was wall-to-wall.

Breaker breaker, one nine. So how many of you freaks had CB radios in their vehicles in the late 70s/early 80s? I'll be the first to admit it.

I was going to motorcycle mechanic school in Daytona Beach back in '76. Because I had a CB radio, I got in with the locals and we would park our vehicles on the beach every night and party.

Breaker breaker, one nine. All you traveling 95 north bound near mile marker 262, best comb your hair and brush your teeth cause you're gonna have your picture taken.

Hey roadwarrior, I'm at mile marker 162. I'll shake the trees and you rack the leaves. We got teddy bear in the rocking chair.

Mile marker 165. We got a bear in the air and smokies on the ground.

Roadwarrior and teddy bear, we got a local yokel in the grass at 172. Looks like he's taken pictures.

Ok roadwarrior, and teddy bear this is my exit. You folks keep the shinny side up and the dirty side down.

Funny yall start talking convoy, I've been looking the past couple weeks for an overhead console to mount in my truck so I can add a CB radio.

My brother owned one hell of a 70's model chevy pickup that we called the barge. Full cab, full bed, and it came equipped with a solid steel bumper that stuck out almost a foot from the rear end of the truck. He made a lot of money from idiots rear ending him. That was back in the late 90's just remember that we used to screw around with the CB it came with when we bought the truck.

I learned to drive on a Pinto station wagon.
With faux wood panels on the outside.
4 speed stick, with reverse up and the left.
I remember that part because I once did a hill start and put it into R instead of first.
Thank goodness nobody behind me. I was only 15 and had "borrowed" it while my folks were out.
I think I would still be grounded if I ever hit someone that night.
