A viral video appears to show a man throwing a drink in the face of a teenager and stealing his "Make America Great Again" hat.
In the video, said to be filmed at a Whataburger around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, the man tells a group of teens, "You ain't supporting s---," before walking away with the hat.
The video has sparked outrage online, with people on the right calling for the man to be identified and arrested.

"So went out for a 2am snack and my friend (wearing a MAGA hat) had his hat stolen and a drink thrown in his face (and mine, you can see my arms on the left of the video)," the Twitter account @brxpug posted early Wednesday.

The video, which has been viewed more than 2 million times, shows a man throwing a drink and then walking away from the group at the table while holding a "Make America Great Again" hat.

"You ain't supporting s---," the man says.

A 16-year-old named Hunter Richard told the local news station WOAI-TV that he was the teen who had his hat stolen. WOAI reported that police were investigating the incident.


"I support my president, and if you don't, let's have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off," Richard told WOAI-TV. "I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me."

A woman who is thought to be the mother of one of the teens in the video posted it on Facebook and asked people to help her identify the "scumbag of the year," The Independent reported. That post has since been made private or deleted, the report said.

The incident has sparked outrage online.

"We were shocked to see this video and certainly don't condone this type of customer behavior in our restaurants," Whataburger said in a statement. "To be clear, no Whataburger employees were involved or witnessed the incident, and we ask that questions be directed to San Antonio PD as we continue supporting their efforts."

Not right to assault or threaten anyone in a public place or business open to the public...regardless of reason.

I grew up during a time when places all over America were legally allowed to bar specific persons from entrance, just because of their appearance.

This just sounds like a Russian bot story meant to cause overreactions from both sides.

Under normal circumstances how would this even be newsworthy?

I think it's important for both sides to try and stay objective in the future because devisive stories meant to cause animosity are going to flood us no doubt and soon.

And knowing that we're in a 3 way fight here, (R's, D's and Putin) it's probably a good idea to try and stick together, minimize the animosity, and give the other side the benefit of the doubt as best we can. Because WE are all AMERICANS.....not Russians.

Google ran it as a headline in their news feed... considering a liberal politician has recently called for the public harassment of anyone in the trump administration, it's no surprise that liberal followers have begun to do that to those who support the administration, even when it's a teenager... and it should be even less surprising that when it happens, it'll be covered in the news...

And if a white guy stole the hat of an Obama supporting teenager, you'd be screaming for his racist blood...

Dozens of self-identified "black women leaders and allies" wrote a letter this week excoriating top Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer for failing to "protect" embattled Rep. Maxine Waters.

In the letter, obtained by Politico and dated July 3, the "Black Women Leaders and Allies" charge that Schumer and Pelosi have abandoned a Democratic icon.

"We write to share our profound indignation and deep disappointment over your recent failure to protect Congresswoman Waters from unwarranted attacks from the Trump Administration and others in the GOP," the letter states. Russia told some stupid stories on facebook that might have (but probably didn't) swayed a very small amount of extremely stupid people against voting for Hillary... that's it man.... that's all they did...

The dnc actually successfully rigged the primary to ensure they got the candidate they wanted, assuming that candidate would definitely be president... they got away with stealing half of the election process from the hands of the people, and you wanna cry about a weak country half a world away saying bad things on facebook? AOL reposted a Huff Post article on this, late last night and this morning. I was reading through the comment section and just shaking my head. There where some on the left that condemned the attack. There where also dozens and dozens of posts blaming the teen, stating that he deserved to be assaulted for wearing a MEGA hat. Others where insisting that the whole event was staged by the right, even though the attacker has been identified and arrested this morning. One lady went as far as to say that the restaurant manger should have called the police the moment the teen walked in, and have him arrested for wearing a symbol of hate. She thought it was perfectly fine to deny the teen his 1st Amendment rights, and even have him arrested for it, while all through her post she was calling the right Fascists. Of course she'll never see the irony.

It's not exactly the same thing... #dontbelieveyou (#noapostrophesinhashtags) could mean #yourealiar but it could also not mean that...

it could just mean #yourewronginthisinstance, #agreetodisagree, or even as an exclamation of astonishment, as in #dontbelieveyou#lookatthistard or #dontbelieveyou#thisguysamoron...
