At this very moment, that is 100% accurate. I'm being compensated well for my time, though... so there is that.

91/112 Back in the valley and wondering why. The daily afternoon thunder storms at the mountain house are missed. Each day starts about 70 and goes up to about 90, then the storms come and the temps drop about 30 degrees.

Saturday night I was down town
Working for the F.B.I.
Sitting in a nest of bad men
Whiskey bottles piling high
Boot legging boozer on the west side
Full of people who are doing wrong
Just about to call up the D.A. man
When I heard this woman singing a song....

Beer

Aberlour 16... Monte #3... and boxing on Showtime.

My boat was inexpensive when compared to well-known brand name boats, like Bayliner, Parker, Grady White, or Boston Whaler, but it was also half the price. First boat, so I didn't want to (and couldn't afford to) spend 65-70k on a boat. I'm prioritizing my 457b.

We'll see how I feel when I retire, but I'm happy with it right now. It's not great, but it's good enough and gets me to the fishes. I'm gaining experience and having fun while still putting $$ away for retirement.

I'm thinking a well cared for, older, quality used boat... and then spending a little for a new motor/controls may be the way to go.

Sounds smart... I neglected this boat about 10 years ago after the gimbal ring snapped... I had another back surgery right after that but it's not really a good excuse for not winterizing it properly.. I opened the drain valves and stuff but didn't pump antifreeze thru it... My son wants to put it back on da water so we'll do it.. but it's also a cool thing to do together... Mellow

Evening all, or morning maybe....... at this point in time, the days appear to be running together. Been averaging less than 3 hours of sleep per day for the last week, taking care of my dad and working graveyard shift on top of it is running me into the ground. So, I am enjoying an Arturo Fuente Añejo with a glass of Port and then, to bed I am heading.

No need for me to wake up so dadgum early... yet I did, and couldn't go back to sleep.

Coffee cup full... I'll be ready to go get the boat in an hour or so, but that damn b*tch parked in front of my house again. This time she's actually blocking a small part of my driveway. I should back my truck out real fast... won't hurt my hitch.
