A group in here who claim calling Trump on his BS is a syndrome and think they play it down the middle will accept this. They will let Trump have his yellow cake and eat it too. It’s only logical he made a simple mistake with a couple letters. Forget everything else this is all in a vacuum hot sex no collusion.

I would love to grab her *****.

Wait. What I really meant to say is:

I wouldn't love to grab her *****.

But, ya have to give it to the guy.
Don't know why, but he seems to be able to get away with anything.

There's no last straw with this guy.

Trump said what he said. He can't walk this back. He needs to own this. Yet we know he won't.

it really doesn't matter...his base will still support him...they absolutely love everything he's done...that's what matters to him, that 35-40%...he's counting on people not showing up to vote, except his peeps.

and he meant 57 ingredients in Heinz, isn't Ransom a city in TX?, and not Rodney, the kid in FL that the pretend cop murdered.

Maybe we should call you Drafter dodger. You always go but Obama or but Hillary. It is really stupid. Own the orange. Admit to what he did and and admit to how stupid and potentially wrong it was. Then admit you back him no matter what.

Joe Biden has been able to live his whole life under that umbrella and nobody in the media ever held him to the fire.

If that happens Dems lose again. I would really like to see a moderate Democrat, dare I say a Kennedy Democrat, win the nomination. Both sides need to move back to a middle ground where common ground can be found.

Noone should be enjoying this political chit show.
Unless you're a sadomasochist.

Whatever your politics, doesnt everyone want a return to some semblance of civility and normalcy? Be re-UNITED.

Some seem giddy with this political/turned-personal cataclysm.
To me, I don't care what side you're on, this is nuts and unsustainable. .

Plus, unpatriotic.

I don't win if Trump is impeached. This isn't a game to me. I hate what I'm witnessing.
The way I see it, we should all demand the truth, that's all.

If Trump is found innocent of any misdeeds etc, great! Bygones.
If he was complicent with Russia, cross that bridge. Bygones.

It's been determined there was no collusion.. but it's still a favorite talking point... the only hope now is somehow 'meddling' affected the election. if so they call for a recount or somethin... Mellow

From what I've heard it doesn't matter if Russia meddled because Trump would remain president regardless.
Which makes me wonder why it's so difficult for him to simply state yep, Russians meddled.

I dunno about that...the Mueller investigation's latest indictments of 12 Russians for criminal interference in our elections lay out factual evidence that they received some assistance from "unnamed American citizens"...the jury's still out about conspiracy between US citizens and Russians...

that isn't intended to implicate Trump, though...remains to be seen who the unnamed perps are...so don't close that book yet until the final page is turned...

the next indictments may be what Trump and Hannity and Fox Trumpists have been trying to avoid by demanding a shut-down of the special prosecution...

From what I've read and heard it's unlikely that Mueller will release all his findings until after the midterms so that neither side can call foul.

TW, his core will believe in him no matter what. You see that here. You see that everywhere. The absurdity of thinking he has done no wrong because Mueller has not said he has is to me a classic example of the group think of his base. The investigation isn't over. Everyone should be capable of understanding this. But all his base does is go into attack mode whenever this is pointed out to them. It also seems some people who are part of his base have lost their minds. I used to consider them logical thinkers capable of intelegent conversation, even though their points of view and mine were quite different. That is visible here, I know some people in the real world like this, and I imagine you do.

Like most people that are not Trump supporters, I'm exhausted already.

Surfing around I landed on the theme: Trump lies. Found this.

Largely explains the hopelessness I'm experiencing.

After Trump's tweet this morning about media being the enemy of the people, someone on the news pointed out....and I found it interesting....that after Trump's last two 1on1 meetings with strongmen who throttle the press in their countries, Trump came out swinging hard at the US media each time....

May not really mean anything since Trump has used the media as his arch-enemy for two years....but, almost interesting, none the less

Trump would be a great dictator, prolly a happy and effective one...just not in a free and democratic country like the US...

He's proven that he is an effective reality TV show personality, leveraging the office of the POTUS and turning the US into a reality TV show, with all the made up dramas with other world leaders, and his daily "look at me" and scab picking tweets...

Howard Cosell was a "popular" sports broadcaster decades ago precisely because he had a corps of followers that were outnumbered by detractors who tuned in just to vent their antipathy. He helped to make MNF a must watch TV program, but had more haters than supporters...Trump is like Cosell in that regard.

Excerpt from Obama's recent speech in South Africa:

“Look around. Strongman politics are ascendant suddenly, whereby elections and some pretense of democracy are maintained but those in power seek to undermine every institution or norm that gives democracy meaning,”

Many Western countries are experiencing the rise of far-right parties, he said, adding that these parties “oftentimes are based not just on platforms of protectionism and of closed borders but also barely hidden racial nationalism.” Some key indicators of this are the attacks on the free press and the use of social media to promote “hatred, paranoia and propaganda.”
