Hello, new guy here. Bought some cohibas here, and they came in with "CI Cohiba" on them. Are these the real deal? or are they knock-offs? I don't recall see this on others I bought elsewhere. Thanks for the info. Steve

Real deal as in Cuban? No. Knock-offs? Don't know.
If you like them it shouldn't matter what's on the label.

Greetings new guy... i can tell from you're handle you're a hippie that likes to flick people's junk... not cool man, not cool...

You won't get far in here with a name like that... you need something less confrontational with more mystique...

how's peterpopper sound? Same basic message, less of a violent tone... i know it's not great, but it's just gotta hold til cam comes back and rights the ship...

Aloha from Hawaii! ThumpUp

Who cares about your handle, the question that 98.2% of the CBid populace want to know is: Pancakes or waffles?

This is a good place, hope you stick around.

You gotta give the place a chance and develop a thick skin...it's like Animal House here, Opel just gave you your Delta Tau pledge name...it's actually better than some of the others he's handed out, but he's still settling in to the position Anxious

Well, back to the OP question. CI could be Cuban Import

Or maybe Cigar International

Either way, chances are it will have more to do with size and shape of the stick than the tobacco itself. I imagine that CI contracted Cohiba to make a a run for them

BTW, I’m a FNG too. Sort of. Anyway, I’m just another smartass on here. d'oh!

Apart from them not being cuban they may be different than the ones you'll find everywhere else. I enjoyed the Cohiba Puro Dominicana back in the day, but unfortunately they were discontinued by General Cigar...

A few months later this blend was resurrected as a CI exclusive. Same bands, but same cigar?

So maybe a CI Cohiba is different from all the other Cohibas on the market. Makes one wonder...

I think they are fakes.. certainly not the ones you get from thomas, jr or the others. Ive ordered these from all over.. always been the same.. i expect thats why they sell here for $3 .. crap.. I bought like 70 of them.. live and learn. I smoke about 6 a day.. I'll smoke them. However the box olivas I got look legit.. has the import stamp on them as well. I bought others..Have not received them yet.. will slow it way down on the buying.. thanks all!

Thomas jr is the best place for genuine Cuban cohibas.

Only other places that's close is Mexican beaches.

Hiya Junkman!
Don't let these clowns get to ya..........they're just bullies.
They made fun of my car for 3 years! Imagine that!
I told my mommy, and she let them have it.........and they finally stopped picking on me.........somewhat.

You bought a collection of 5000 cigars? That's impressive, gotta say.
How were they stored? Cabinet? Coolers? 50 wood humidors?

The Cohibas you find here, will be just as good as those you find at other online retailers.
If you want CC Cohibas, well, good luck........you'll have to know what you're doing, and have a fat wallet.

welcome to the asylum FlJunkman...I haven't liked any of the non-Cuban Cohibas I've smoked, and also don't think much of most of the other non Cuban cigars marketed with Cuban labels (Montecristo, H Upmann, Hoyo de Monterrey, Partagas, Trinidad, Romeo y Julieta). Cuban cigars with those names are much better, to me.

I really liked the few Cuban Cohibas I've had, but my tax bracket is too low to be able to get a steady supply of those...

It was a estate sale.. Guy was like 80 years old, passed away. He had them on shelfs in a office, pretty sure he had a controlled environment in there... and a ton of small cases.. He had been doing business with thompson and the like forever.. got like 20 humidors , ashtrays, lighters etc.. with the lot. Most cigars and humidors, ashtrays etc..where sealed boxes. They all seem good, There where a few old boxes that had been opened, that where stale.. I referbed the good ones.. tossed, the cheaper ones I have a 6ft humidor full. electronic controlled, in the house, air conditioned. Before I smoked so many.. I set up a true commercial refrigerator, in my warehouse, to turn on at 70 .. off at 72,, plus had a electronic humiidity box it there, with alarm and digital read out.. Now i use it to store liquor from a sports bar i bought out. I'm kinda of a prepper...But i don't drink... Paid 1000 for the whole lot of cigars. some date back to 1970's. Looked some up, they are like 150 a stick.Been smoking a few. They are good.. but seem to be mild..Maybe the time does that to them? I listed the normal ones ( drew estate, oliva, etc.. ) a while ago for 3500..I think it was 60 boxes... no takers.. so I just started smoking them..lol At this point, I'm just going to smoke them all.But do find myself buying ones I like, that i ran out off,, lol.If they are still available..some are not.. No clue how many left..over 1000 I bet..I've removed most from the boxes ( saved boxes ) , and are in trays. I routinely move them around in there.. which kinda sucks, cause you get used to where to find a certain one.. Then I can't find it fast..lol There are 2 humidity boxes in there. the big one is on the bottom, and the fan blows up.. and why I move the trays around...anyways.. thats the quick of it..
