A few years ago, I had a large spider take up residence in a bucket on my back patio. I used to feed him bugs that I would catch. One day, a rhinoceros beetle, not quite as big as the one pictured above, made the mistake of walking across the patio. I picked him up with a set of tweezers and tossed him in with the spider. It was cool watching the spider and beetle do battle. The spider eventually won, wrapping one leg at a time, then one pincher at a time. It took him about a half hour to completely subdue the beetle.
