.... Come on Gene... That post hurts... Like, literally hurts the brain.

1- it's super easy to win an argument when you tell the other side exactly what they must be thinking...

2-... Even doing that, this meme fails to actually make a logical conclusion.

I could picture victor going to a comedy show and getting up in the middle of the routine...

Excuse me, excuuuuuse me... I don't get that joke, can you explain it to me?

Come to think about it, I don't think I ever saw victor post a joke. I think he might be an alien from Vulcan.

Come on bgz... Did you find that funny?

If a joke is going to be of the type which is trying to say "hey look how much better my in-group is than this other in-group which we have decided to define as opposed to us!"... And it is clearly demonstrating a lack of understanding of basic logic? Then I suppose it is funny... But not for the reasons the person posted it

People have gotten really lazy with their jokes these days. They'll slap anything on a picture and post it around. As long as it supports their side they think it's funny.

I don't think most of them are funny on either side... Because no one is doing any sort of quality control...

But I'll totally laugh at a video of a guy getting kicked in the nads by a dog or something.

Well, as being one who loves to tell stupid jokes and say stupid sh*t to get a laugh out of someone...

I thought it was pretty funny.

See, take some talking points from one side... twist em a bit, then relate them to something else...

Recipe for funny.

In fact, the more amateurish, the better IMO... as soon as production quality goes up, the jokes lose a little bit of that raw factor.

So I have to disagree with you, stupid, lazy memes, FUNNY!

People getting kicked in the nuts... the first 1000 times you see it or so it's pretty funny, but meh... rather watch stupid cat videos.

Again with the "tell people what they're thinking" babble.

First off, this is a joke meme.
But it doesn't claim to know what the liberals are thinking. It's poking fun of their actions. These are observed behaviors. It doesn't require, nor does it imply, ESP.

In terms you might understand:
A gay couple gets beat up.
You will say it's a hate crime. The perpetrator must be a homophobe.
You don't wait to hear if there was something earlier in the evening that precipitated the encounter. You will make your judgement without hesitation.

Then look at the Tea Party. Or the birther movement.
Two groups that opposed President Obama.
You and other liberals tell us they're undoubtedly racist. Even though their angst has a clearly defined position that has nothing to do with race.

You need to find an alternative argument if you're going to be taken serious.

As for #2, I found the conclusion funny, but not logical. Which falls in line with it being a joke and not a term paper.

Now go kick a few homeless guys and raise your self esteem.

Sigh... There isn't enough irony in the world for this thread.

Twice in 16 comments, people took references to the initial joke itself and said "yeah... Those liberils sure do that"... (Reference cacman... Ostensibly agreeing with bgz's assessment of the joke... And surfish referencing tails reference of my description of the joke)...

Tail... As for you...you're incorrect. I actually do ask what precipitated it. In instances where I've had gay friends attacked my first question is "did they interact with this person before?" The simple fact that you think I don't ask that question means you don't actually read what I write.

The rest of your argument is half baked sh+t, framed in terribly poor logic. (Combining tea party people with birther racists? Trying to bundle that into one argument and claim liberals call the all racists ... Just because they oppose Obama?... If you think people get called racist for just opposing Obama then you're an idiot. If you think birthers aren't racist... You're an idiot... If you are going to combine those two into one argument, you're an idiot... Oh... Wait)

And the conclusion of the joke was dumb because it also could have said "did he become Christian?"...

Can you think of a non racist reason for them to be a birther?

The amount of proof, and the refusal to believe despite what would amount to overwhelming evidence for any other president...

I have never met a birther who has given me any good reason why they demanded significantly more evidence for Obama than any other president.

Why would I wonder? Because he has a name that's not "American"? Because he wasn't white? Lots of people in my life who have been born and raised in the USA have different names or look different.

No. I assumed he was a citizen because he was in the Senate, and while you don't need to be a citizen to be a senator, I'm sure place of birth is identified and likely verified by the government at that time.
Hell... He had to have a passport... That states his place of birth.
Hasn't that been sufficient for every other politician before him?
Hell... I don't recall the birthers demanding to see Trump's birth certificate....

Birther = Racist? Seems a stretch. I never thought it was an issue to me, but I can easily imagine that a decidedly non-racist individual who had seeds of doubt shown about his citizenship might fall into the birther camp.

Are minorities who demand Trump's tax returns also racist?

I hadn't thought about it before, but the birth certificate request might be an even more sensible 'ask' than tax returns. At least the Constitution demands a citizenship requirement....I missed any mention of a tax return requirement

It's about consistency dtseig.
1- the birth certificate was never a thing until Obama. No one cared.
2- Obama's mother was a US citizen. So there's no real reason why a birth certificate would be necessary to prove his citizenship and qualification for president.
3- there is a precedent already for tax returns. Asking for Trump's is asking him to provide equal information prior presidents did.

If every other president had been subject to the same scrutiny, the same bizarre refusal to accept actual evidence when provided... I wouldn't say they were. But strangely they haven't asked for the same information from trump.

No, you didn't miss it.

It doesn't exist. Some reason along the way candidates felt the need to appear transparent and want the "common folk" to respect them so they let you look at their tax returns.

John McCain was being called to task for proof of birthplace.
Last I checked, he was white.

Reason: As a military brat he may have been born off base in a foreign land.

Reason for Obama: Father's records were suspect. Name changes. Schooling in Indonesia.

Don't get me wrong. Barrack Obama was most definitely born in Hawaii. We know that now.
But to suggest that there was no logical reason to question it once the evidence was presented?

McCain was not "called to task"... Seriously? McCain's birthplace only ever came up in any discussion I ever read as a response to someone claiming Obama wasn't eligible. And you want to use the term "called to task"?

If you can't discern the difference between opposing Obama and being a birther... I can't help you.

And amusingly you don't see a clear difference between Obama and McCain?
McCain's eligibility was in question because of information which we knew about him... ie we knew for a fact he was born out of country.
Obama's eligibility was apparently in question because people had trouble believing he was born here in the first place. The whole thing started out of random rumors propogated by various opponents... They played on people's xenophobia and it worked... People demanded more and more information and refused to believe it when it was provided.

Nobody questioned the facts surrounding McCain
