Ok...

I'm "old school"..

You go to the barber ( in the last 20+ years or so) and you sign the paper sheet
Or punch on the puter screen your info...
First come first served unless you want a certain hair cutter person...

I go into SPORT CLIPS @ 6:30PM
THE PLACE IS F**K-ing E.M.P.T.Y....
NOBODY IN THE SEATS, NOBODY IN THE 6 EMPTY BARBER CHAIRS...

I SIGN UP FOR first available stylist...
I head towards the cutting area...

Then...

"Sorry Sir...were booked for an hour and a half" YOU'LL have to wait?

I look at 3 barbers standing around doing nothing, the place is empty...
"Everybody signed up over the internet and made reservations, we have no openings"

I say loudly...
"DOUCHE BAG MILLENIALS ARE A PAIN IN MY AZZ!!" and walk out..,

WTF ???

Unbelievable!!!

I go to Sportsclips, never been a problem. If there's a wait, I'll just hit up some shops around the area then come back.

Tried the barber route, but the Russians got a lock on the barber shops around here and they like to give you euro cuts.

There was this one big burly, bald Russian dude though with a decrepit ass coke nail... man handled my head and hair giving me haircuts, but that dude was like a fat fingered savant with a pair of scissors.

He would be like, here he is, the big man with the purdy boy hair, come... sit in my chair.

I think he wanted to bang me, but I didn't GAF, that dude could chop some hair.

Anyway, so now I alternate between sportsclips and my wife's stylist. I would go to her all the time, but she don't answer her texts, so I just have my wife book mine on the same day as hers then get a sports clips chop in between.

Love the barbershop in town. Dozen hunting trophies on the walls. Hunting and fishing magazines are the only reading material. Barber is somewhere north of 70 years and sharpens a straight razor to shave my neck. Under $10 before tip

Yep..my local is Hot Rod Magazines, straight razors and combs in blue stuff. The original owner recently retired after being there for SIXTY years. His son in law (the youngster) took it over. He's only been doing it for 30. Haircut is $11. I give a 10 and a 5 and I'm out the door.

That's the "I'm so rich i dont wipe my own butt" nail, not a coke nail... not to be confused with the Armenian "bah, who needs flathead screwdriver" nail...

Sign in or a computer screen? WTF? That's not old school at all. I've gone to same barber for the last 25 or so years and before then I went to the same barber for around 20 years. Both places were honor system first come first serve or wait for "your" barber. $16 bucks for hair cut (i.e. currently a #1 on the sides and #1.5 on top.) About fifteen minutes total unless you go on a Saturday morning before school starting. They still do flat tops and have military recruiting posters in their front window. That's about what a cheap set of clippers cost over four years ago.... Wife does mine.
Step daughter works at Great Clips, and I've been in there twice over the years....don't recall prices, but it was a pretty straightforward wait/cut/pay and out....wasn't like going to 'John's' 40 years ago, but it wasn't too painful

Pretty obvious the gangstalkers hadn't gotten them the "topical" cream to drug you there yet

YEah.......my local you're just next in line. There's no cash register. No change. No credit cards. Hair cut is 11 bucks. They get 15 outta me. They do have a vacuum system so the hair get's sucked up when he's using the clippers, which on me is always. My haircut is "put on the number 2 and take it all off".

My wife cuts mine. She's been cutting it for about 30 years. So, $15 a haircut times 26 times a year, times 30 years equals a chit load of cigars.
