TG, you are a racist apologist. If some goon in a sheet, at your door, asked for donations you'd ask them to first say 'trick or treat' and then to please put out the burning cross next store.

In the 30's and 40's who should have been asked the question 'does antisemitism exist in Germany'?
Jews or Germans?

So of course, you want the truth? Ask Black Americans. Reasearch what they're saying.

Ask them how and if they're impacted by Trump's good people on both sides policy.

Do a bit of research regarding the uptick in racism thanks to Trump.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/posteverything/wp/2018/08/15/is-trump-a-racist-you-dont-need-an-n-word-tape-to-know/

Reading posts and funnier, definitions of racism on a probably all white, right of center forum is pretty funny though. Well worth the price of admission.

Ahh, there it is.
White guilt in the flesh.

Simply pathetic.

Obama celebrated success by counting the number of families on the welfare dole.
Now we're celebrating by counting the number who are OFF of it.
But you're too caught up in the hype to recognize it.

So keep telling your black friends how they're worse off because, well, Trump.
That way you'll keep them where you want them.

Racist apologist.
Ha!
Trump was bed buddies with Jesse Jackson et al for years before you and your media brain thought to make him out to be David Duke.
Keep trying.
But stop trying to keep the minorities in their place as you see it. Because that's all you really want with your negative backspin.
No wonder you feel so much guilt.

Some women call each other bitches. Does that mean it’s acceptable for a person to go around society calling women bitches? Does that mean a women doesn’t have the right to be offended until all people stop using that word?

That’s an interesting viewpoint.

I feel that people should be able to say whatever they want, but they should be prepared to face the consequences of their actions.

This is mostly true.

Difference is that calling a woman a bitch doesn't give a collective knee jerk reaction whereby everybody thinks you hate women.

As I type this there is a local news report.
Some loser is yelling racist remarks at two black men after a road rage incident.

He was picked up and charged.

For "violating their civil rights".

Now, I think that loser should be off the road.
But violating civil rights?

I didn't think we had civil rights to never be offended.

The prisons are gonna be packed.

think this was an update from the original "incident"...but the way I recall the original, he came out of his house to say very ugly angry and possibly threatening words to a male and female who had the audacity to ride motorcycles in "his farking neighborhood".

I agree. A better question and this is more in line with the OP, is if someone calls black people the "N" word out of anger, are they fit to govern the American people?

It would depend on some different circumstances, but I think my answer would be “NO” the vast majority of the time.

How about you?

Really TG? Trump (you mean the guy who said "Laziness is a trait in blacks ... I believe that. No black person will be president again any time soon." ?) was friends with Jesse Jackson (you mean the guy who called NYC hymietown?) and that proves he isn't racist?  Where'd you hear that? The media???

You frame some of the dumbest chit with just enough wit to make the dumbest chit seem plausible. But it's still chit.

Be honest. Do you really give a damn if Trump is, or anyone is racist?

You don't. I answered for you. Cause you're not self-aware enough to answer honestly or to know you're an apologist. Which is cool. I really don't GAF. You're amusing...

I don't claim to speak for black people. I interact with them on a regular basis and, if you gaf, they hate him. If you choose to believe that black people are enamored with this president, that's, well,  sweet.

Guilt? Dumb. I feel zero guilt and I'm not trying to guilt shame anyone. That's dumb.
Besides, for that you'd have to have a conscience and well, we know the deal there, right?

I'm interested in and sympathetic to minorities plights in America.

  Sue me.

Who knows, you, for all I know, honestly believe the man is not a racist. But have you ever researched black opinion? I know, Kanye...I mean any other opinions? Have you been curious enough to fact check?  Did you know that the government alleged that Trump employees marked minority tenant applicants with codes, such as "No. 9" or "C" for "colored." Or is that just business? Good people on both sides...?

At one time I thought you were a pretty bright guy.

But you lack curiosity. And empathy.

Oh, you're clever, minus depth, substance and heart.

Maybe it's laziness. Maybe you're just dumb.

Too bad...

I believe that people can change for the better. I can think of some extreme examples of when I would forgive a president for dropping some “N” bombs if I honestly believed that they were remorseful and had the best interests of ALL Americans at heart. Not to mention reflected that in their policy initiatives. Granted, they would be rarities.

Trump wouldn't currently be one of those examples.

not true, cacman...I've seen racism coming from people of all races and nationalities ... but where racism does the most damage is when those in positions of power, who occupy a higher position in the social structure of their society, exert dominance and impose state sponsored sanctions against members of that society with a different racial background...

That's exactly why the book was removed from schools. It had nothing to do with the quality or message of the literature, just the use of a single word.

Go figure. d'oh!

The book is rarely actually banned. Just challenged frequently.
But you keep pretending that it's happening or that anyone is trying to hide from history.

Books get banned in libraries and schools all the time. But its almost always just a specific town or city. Rarely an entire country. But even that does happen.

Tarzan was banned because some holyroller thought Tarzan and Jane didn't have a proper wedding and they cohabitated. Even Anne Frank down south somewhere, a Dr Seuss book , Hansel and Gretel....tons of books..to Kill a Mockingbird is contested a lot for the same reason as Huckleberry Finn: N word

What's funny is banning books makes you want to read them. When they banned Lolita in places in Europe, it flew off the shelves in the states. Great book. Good times....oh yeah

Tropic of Cancer and Naked Lunch (horrible book) were banned.
Even Whitman's Leaves Of Grass was somewhere..immoral, too sexual

I get it sometimes. Hate speech. Child porn. Camping.
But why give anyone the moral high ground and right to tell us what we can and cant read??
And banning is way too namby pamby, that's right, i said namby pamby. Burn the ffucking things! like al-Qaida or those smiling Hitler Youth dudes. Marshmallows!

Sorta reminds me of a funny thing Lenny Bruce once said when he was being tried for his dirty standup routine: 'obscenity is anything that gives a judge a hardon'

Actually... The main banning of the book (the one it's really known for) had nothing to do with the n-word.
It was banned because it was using a vernacular in general which the fainting ladies of the late 1800s found lowbrow. They had no problem with the n-word... As long as it was a proper sentence or something like that....
The point it that the obvious parallels that the short bus brigade are trying to draw are stretched awfully thin there (and are patently incorrect at the front end there as well)

according to this, the first banning took place in Concord Mass.....

In 1885, Concord Public Library banned the book, attacking the novel as "absolutely immoral in its tone.” One library official noted that "all through its pages there is a systematic use of bad grammar and an employment of inelegant expressions.”

Mark Twain, for his part, loved the controversy for the publicity it would generate. As he wrote to Charles Webster on March 18, 1885: "The Committee of the Public Library of Concord, Mass., have given us a rattling tip-top puff which will go into every paper in the country. They have expelled Huck from their library as 'trash and suitable only for the slums.' That will sell 25,000 copies for us sure."

absolutely. The term "Banned in Boston" was a great marketing slogan, second only to "if your erection lasts more than 4 hours..."
