My cigar buddy and I tried the Salomons some years back (not sure if they have other sizes now).

Unanimous verdict from us both: flavorless airball.

And so, we wrote them off and never bought any more beyond the handful of test samples.

Have had them twice, both from the Mothership superstore - once as a free throw-in, once as a $1 add on. Both times....blah. Nothing.

To each their own, folks. I don't care for them, but if the poster does, what harm does that do?

OttoZo, they show "back ordered" at the MS. If I where you, I'd check with CI's customer service to see if they are expecting anymore in, or if they have been discontinued.

Q used to like them, I bought several when I could get them for a buck and even that seemed too much after smoking them.

The only cigar I've ever had that was more of a flavorless airball than the Reposado was a cigar called "Mayorga" that I got at some tobacco shop in NYC quite a number of years ago. I think it was a mini-belicoso that was about robusto size and was box-pressed, and I believe it had a yellowish band with a crown on it. Astoundingly flavorless. I mean, Reposado had a tiny hint of flavor, but these were zero. It was like sucking on the spout of a steam kettle. It is forever memorable not for its badness, per se, but rather for its utter and complete nothingness.

And yes, I got a 5-pack to judge it properly. All five were the same.

I've smoked Mayorga, but somehow they missed my spreadsheet, so it may have been more than 10 years ago. Don't remember where I got them or how they were other than I never looked to buy more.
