If you really want a wild blast from the past I think the original creators of wasteland have made it run on modern computers....
It's not exactly.... Fun.... In comparison to modern games. But it's an interesting look at what early computer games were like. I remember playing it when I was in Jr high....

Played my share of old school games when I was a kid... that one eluded me.

I did see that they sell it on Steam though for $10 though...

"The Supplemental Background Investigation confirms what the Senate Judiciary Committee concluded after its investigation: there is no corroboration of the allegations made by Dr. Ford or Ms. Ramirez," the Judiciary Committee Republicans wrote.

Ford has extensively cited her 2012 therapy notes as a kind of corroboration for her claims but has not provided them -- even in part -- to investigators. (The Washington Post said Ford had shared a "portion" of her notes with their reporters, but under oath on Thursday, Ford said she could not recall whether she had actually done so, or merely described the notes).

The Senate hasn't mucked this process up enough yet, apparently.

I'm not yet sure what to make of the Steve Daines wedding mess. He's going to his daughter's wedding on Saturday. All kinds of questions in my head without real clear answers yet....I need to think about it some...

-Where is Daines' responsibility (IMO)...dunno....to his family? or to the country? Only a fair question if it were a binary question as to being in town to vote; or NOT voting....wish it were that simple..it'd still be messy, but maybe easier to pick a side

-Would it be OK for Senate to delay vote until he gets back? If it were just a couple hours? What if it were a couple days? Obviously, if he were a Dem, McConnel wouldn't consider moving the vote...is he really moving the vote if it hasn't actually been scheduled yet?

-In this age of telework and remote working, should we let our representatives vote remotely? I don't think so, but maybe for up or down votes after debate has concluded...why not?

and....wtf is going on in the Senate today? I've been able to read nothing but that its a "key procedural vote" leading to a confirmation vote....really? wtf? nom was passed out of committee....just vote on the fn thing....is this 'procedural vote' anything other than another chance for a bunch of gd grandstanding ....one more day of blustery bs with NOTHING we haven't heard already...and another day with nothing the least bit productive getting done in the Senate?

Speaking to host Shannon Bream on "Fox News @ Night," Daines said he personally called Kavanaugh Thursday evening and told him, "I'm going to be there to vote for you as needed."

he'll figure it out... Mellow

Today's vote is a procedural one, called the cloture vote. It's purpose is to end all discussions about a matter that is before the Senate, clearing the way for a final vote to approve or disapprove. Not sure why they didn't just vote after the cloture vote, other than Senate procedures requiring that votes have to be scheduled in advance.

This process playing out is Majority Leader McConnell's strategy to ensure he's got the votes at every step of the way.

"According to a recent Harvard-Harris poll, “a majority of voters believe that Kavanaugh’s confirmation process was politicized and mishandled, with 69 percent calling it a "national disgrace,” according to the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University, which reported on the survey."

This has not helped the dems' cause. Lets see what the polls in November show.

And so begins the butt hurting for the Dems. Jerry Nader is already talking impeachment if the Dems take control of the house. November can’t come soon enough.

I heard he's already written the first draft to rule against any civil or criminal proceedings on Trump that will reach SCOTUS...that was his assignment to get Trump's nomination and confirmation...

In a social media post on Saturday, a writer for CBS's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" seemingly celebrated the damage done to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's reputation during his bruising and bitterly partisan confirmation battle.

"Whatever happens, I'm just glad we ruined Brett Kavanaugh's life," the writer, Ariel Dumas, posted on Twitter. Dumas later briefly made her account private, preventing others from viewing her posts without her approval.

Her tweet came as the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by a 50-48 vote, with Republicans saying that the several allegations of decades-old sexual misconduct brought against him simply lacked sufficient corroboration and credibility.

Mission Accomplished..?? I kinda doubt it... he'll get over it... but I can understand why the Dems are paranoid about him being partisan... Mellow

That is so small, petty, and vindictive. Ruining someone reputation with false accusations is wrong, and criminal. Perhaps worse is the pain it caused him and his family. I wonder if what happened to him would be considered slander/liable?

no, I'm talking about investigative stuff, like subpoenas for documents or testimony before a grand jury...these will be the first steps, if any...I'm sure that Trump will challenge any/all of those and will take it all the way to SCOTUS...

Apparently NBC had information that discredited the women who claimed Kavanaugh was at the rape party, yet instead of reporting it, they continued the narrative.

Imagine that.
