Finally after 2 years some good news.

Of course the next question was what will work if anything. She said the only other option for me would be sedation at night. This idea I do not like but when she went on to say, This is just to try and reset the clock. She said that for a short period of time every night I would have to knock myself out and hopefully the clock will reset and then I would come off the meds. Now she did tell us that this may not reset my clock due to the damage could be to extensive. If that is the case then I will be taking a pill every night to drug myself to sleep. She could tell I did not like this one bit and she told me she understood but better to sleep regular by taking a pill than going days without sleep as that will lead to a worm dirt bed in a hurry. Now comes the long process to finding the right dose and all that BS but hey, that is one issue down I guess right? I am thinking that if it "resets" Great, if not and I end up having to take a strong sleeping pill every night not so great but still issue resolved I guess. Now just a few more issues to go. I think my next two visits for testing is sometime this month.

Do whatcha gotta do, Chris.
I hope it works !

Chris, this is a win! It is a possible answer to one of your issues. Good morning everyone. Have you discussed non 24 with your doctor? I wonder if this could be an issue for you even though it would be a different context than usual.

I have only gotten to discuss it with my neuropsych. With that said, the idea of non 24 came from neuropsych but the conclusion of it actually being non24 came about came about with a collaboration between my neuropsych, my neurologist, and a few other neurologist in her group that I have not gotten to meet. It is kind of like I am mixed up in a grand rounds kind of thing? I don't know though its odd because the each are in a different group under a different name. My neurologist works for semmes-murphey, my neuropsych works at some women's clinic and also at the VA. Yet they all talk as if they work under the same group.

Any how, I do know that the neuropsych came up with the idea of non 24 might be the issue and after the confab they all decided that is what it was and the neuropsych is the one that called and told us the info. After that it was my neurologist that had written the prescription even though semmes-murphey where she is at is all the way on the other side of town. It is odd. I have been in grand rounds before with groups of surgeons and such but it was all under one group.

I am Sorry for the yammering, I am trying to wrap my head around this. Simple answer no I have not gotten to talk with my Dr yet. I know she knows and agrees with the diagnosis I guess it would be called because she is the one that wrote the script. I will get to discuss it in more detail with her on my next visit. Now when that is I do not know only because I can not remember and my wife keeps up with all that. I do know it is sometime soon in the next few weeks or next month maybe.

Thank you brother, I am not diggin the drugs at all but, I do not like going days without sleep either lol. What is really odd is I do not ever feel tired even though say 3 days has went by. It is not till the end of day 3 or into day 4 that I start to feel a little tired. Personally it really don't mess with my everyday living because I have no idea of that amount of time has went by but boy does it mess with the everyday workings of the household.

Speaking of no sleep....

Fire department 5 houses down the street from me had their open house today. Which means there was basically a parade of sirens and horns for 5 straight hours. Had ear plugs in, muffs over the top, and went in the basement. Still heard em all damn day.

Gonna be a long ass night.

Dang man, I would not have been able to sleep just with all the PPE you had on. One of the benefits of being partially deaf I guess. The downfall is you miss all them free vacation calls from them Timeshare telemarketers.

It's been a rough night. Super busy, and I have a very short staffed and inexperienced crew... the no sleep thing definitely not helping me any. 9 hours in, 3 to go.

Anyhow.

Welcome back to Monday fellas

I love a good meatloaf, haven't had it in a while. Now, that fall is arriving, I will definitely have to make one soon.

Threw the pizza stone on the bbq again tonight... No burning issues this time, so I think I finally got it dialed in... 3 pizzas with fresh mozzarella and marinara, one with brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter... Time for the second half of the game and a tat...

59/80 today

Have a 4 mile walk and 10 mile bike planned in this great weather. Then clean up the empty beer cans and pizza boxes and put the toilet seats back down before I pick up the wifey from the airport.

Happy Tuesday fellas. My Saturday.

It's been a long time coming. The work week was extremely trying. The most frustrating part is that it was because of my staff, not the patients/families being overly difficult. Tonight I had a fantastic team, and despite the patient acuity being extraordinarily high, everything went smoothly. A breath of fresh air after 5 days of bullchit. I had a good night at work today.

Stormed a few times in the past week, so there's tons of tree bits around the yard. Walked around picking em up when I got home. The burn pile is quite large right now, haven't burned it down since early summer. Probably 12foot diameter and 4-5 feet tall. Kinda tempted to light it up and grab a cigar and pull one of my folding recliners outta the camper to sit out there.
