Long night at work followed by staff meeting where we're told again to do more with less.

Beer for a while, then off to bed. Gotta be back in early tonight since the whole dayshift staff is so inexperienced there's nobody to be in charge of the unit. So I have to come back early to sort it out and make assignments and staffing decisions for tonight.

Still feeling the effects of the damn sleep meds. I think I am going to lay it back down for an hour or so till it warms up a little then hit the garage to tinker a bit.

Went for a swim in the bay at 6 this morning. That was.... Interesting....

Was still dark... Can't see anything under the water... Can't see much above the water (except the huge Ghirardelli sign, that thing is always lit up)... Swam a 25 min loop around the cove. Water temps in the high 50s I was told.

The not being able to see is the most distressing part. Especially since people do occasionally get attacked by territorial sea lions. They just swim up from beneath and bite swimmers apparently. Severely in some cases.

But... We made it through. No one was eaten. Then hit the sauna for a bit and off to work.

Total distance was short... Probably only 1000yards. 1/4 of my normal workout. I may need to do a different route, or get a faster swimming partner.

So, yesterday afternoon, there was a loud knock on my front door.
I opened the door to find an extremely cute young lady, probably in her early to mid twenties, standing there in her "Verizon" jacket, holding a clipboard.
"Good afternoon, sir. My name is Angela, and I'm with Verizon."
I said, "I can see that, but Angela, unless you're gonna come in, get naked, and let me give you multiple orgasms, you might as well just leave now."
She just kinda looked at me in bewilderment for a few seconds, and I said . . . "Yeah, thought so.".
I turned around and went back inside.

Three eggs, salsa, hash browns, sourdough toast, coffee, blueberry juice.

Great start to the Prem w/ Chelsea v. United.

Monkey,
You throwing poo in your cage on that last goal?

It was frustrating but not unexpected.

Grandma Monkey in town so I’ve drank a lot more than usual to make it through and keep my sanity. Currently grilling some chicken and thick strips, smoking a cigar and enjoying a glass of Cabernet with LSU v Miss St on the deck TV.
