Here’s Trump’s full quote from July:

“Let’s say I’m debating Pocahontas, right?” he said. “I promise you I’ll do this, you know those little kits they sell on television for $2? ‘Learn your heritage.’ … I’m going to get one of those little kits, and, in the middle of the debate, when she proclaims she’s of Indian heritage — because her mother said she has high cheekbones, that’s her only evidence, that her mother said she had high cheekbones — we will take that little kit, and say — but we have to do it gently, because we’re in the #MeToo generation, so we have to be very gentle — and we will very gently take that kit and we will slowly toss it, hoping it doesn’t hit her and injure her arm, even though it only weighs probably 2 ounces, and we will say, ‘I will give you a million dollars for your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.’”

So, was there a formal debate..?? ever..?? Think

Trump's done plenty of crap I don't approve of or pissed me off. As have those that came before him.

No, my faux outrage is over Warren continuing to pretend to be a Native when she's shown time and again she don't GAF about Indians.

Z, the Boston Globe story said a little more than that. Naitive Americans migrated across the land mass that connected Asia and North America. Then some of them migrated to Mexico and South America.

Since there is very limited genetic information on native Americans genetic information is used from the countries you stated. Why those are the chosen countries I do not know beyond the fact that native Americans migrated there.

The tribes don't want their members to submit DNA tests, probably so the liberals don't try to make it so people can legally self identify as their tribe.

Z, I dislike her as much as Trump. Baised on how this test determines American Indian heritage, to me it proves nothing. I do find Trumps range of comments amusing.

They took the whole Cherokee nation
Put us on this reservation
Took away our ways of life
The tomahawk and the bow and knife
Took away our native tongue
And taught their English to our young
And all the beads we made by hand
Are nowadays made in Japan...

"Fauxcahontas has only .0976% Indian blood in her veins."

Actually, it did no such thing. Read the fine print. In this case, “Indian” includes, indiscriminately, Mexican and Central/South American DNA.

The test explicitly does not identify a Native American cohort in its results.

On the plus side: her results may prove that she is more Mexican than Beto.

Quote:
Chuck Hoskin Jr., secretary of state of the Cherokee Nation, said Warren was “undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”

“A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship,” Hoskin said. “Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong.”

He added, “It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven.”

Warren responded by tweeting that she respects the distinction between DNA and tribal affiliation or citizenship and that she doesn’t list herself as a Native American in the Senate.

a cook book her cousin edited in the 80's?

her 10 ingredient omelet included the exact same 4 ingredients as a famous french chef's recipe? I'm going out on a limb here and guess the four were eggs, milk, butter and cheese? Am I close?

"Enjoy as a side dish with meat"...plagiarized from Better Homes and Gardens?

Z, you have no idea what a low life Howie Carr has been for 40 years, the source of this scandal. Was a writer for the trash paper Boston Herald before becoming an attack dog who makes Warren look like a lap dog on local radio. His m.o. was to toss out made up charges or gossip he started (as if reality wasn't bad enough) at political guests on his show. Stuff like "isn't it true you got your daughter a job in the local Post Office?' The pol would say, "no". and Howie would say "Oh yeah?" And then he'd have nothing other than, "well that's the story I heard circulating in the halls of the Sate House".

Drafter hears more reliable stuff. A real POS, the kind of journalist Trump has been dreaming about, only conservative.

True story...I recently saw him in the men's room of his office building in Needham MA and he did not wash his hands after peeing! I think that's a worse crime.

Can we at least agreethat if she's guilty of cook book fraud 3 decades ago, we decide that lifting a recipe 30 years before holding an elected office is as meaningless as having affairs with porn stars and Playboy bunnies before becoming President?

And I'll repeat, I do not want her to run for POTUS.

Hey now, Boolean logic can reach truth. Rote memorization can reach illogical conclusions. Trump good, news fake. Trump good, news fake. Trump good, news fake. Trump good, news fake. Dislike Trump, like Warren. Dislike Trump, like Warren. Dislike Trump, like Warren. Dislike Trump, like Warren. Warren lies, heritage lie. Warren lies, heritage lie. Warren lies, heritage lie. Warren lies, heritage lie. Warren bad, Trump good. Warren bad, Trump good. Warren bad, Trump good. Warren bad, Trump good. Warren bad, Trump good.

Hey, think I could get a job with citizens united? Hmmmm, probably not, too subliminal for haters of liberals/Democrats.

this is perhaps the most disappointing thing you've ever posted.

Carr a low life?

Just say you disagree with his politics.

No he isn't...

or should I say wasn't. Decades ago he and others cut their teeth on them but he fell in love with himself and his image while the professional journalists stayed professional.

Soon he decided to muckrake, not to worry about facts, and just let the allegations fly. Spectacular Herald Style headlines over substance. I had to stop listening years ago. Also stopped listening to Jerry Williams, who had been the darling of liberals before the Carr era, who decided this type of behavior was the best marketing for ratings too.

Maybe it isn't political differences for me after all?

And it's gotta be the third "most disappointing" post of mine you've mentioned recently! And I'm a fairly moderate left of center centrist. HA!

but a correction is in order. I was talking about Howie Carr, the hired gun, inflammatory-style-without-factual-base writer/radio commentator who tries to destroy people because He doesn't agree with THEIR politics, though I'm not sure he actually has politics with which to disagree.

I wasn't writing about those with whom I disagree. He is not a political philosopher, he is a hatchet job pro. He is a LOOK AT ME guy. I have more than a little respect for many conservatives, but I have none for the Karl Roves or even the same style guys like that snakey looking bald liberal who worked for Clinton and is married to the conservative woman...he's also a conscienceless assassin.

You got me wrong, Joe. It isn't political differences that make me call out a person. It's their actions.

My friend Joe admonished me for calling a non-office holder a low life. He said I could disagree with his politics but I was wrong to call him a name.

You calling Carville a snake is no more "equal opportunity" than me calling Trump a dolt.

Howie Carr is an American hero. His primary responsibility has become entertainment, but he's still a ball buster where others just want to make friends. Journalists shouldn't have friends.

My only criticism of Howie Carr is he gets too "local" with his talk show.

And he's a radio guy. I'm sure you're being honest and he's called out the wrong person on occasion. But it's not his M.O. and he doesn't repeat a false mantra, unlike his left leaning peers.

Not saying you need to like him.
But you're off base in regards to the Howie Carr of the past decade or so.

it has been well over a decade since I've listened to him, but me calling Carville a snake is easily equal to me calling Carr a low life. My point in citing this is that you assumed incorrectly that my Carr dislike is based on political differences.

You were wrong.

but I'll trust you that he is no longer a cheap shot artist.

lots of Native A's got moved to OK, involuntarily.

I didn't read the cook book so I don't know if that was the real premise, but I wouldn't get more hung up on if these are real old timey tribal recipes than if Trump told the truth about borrowing one mil, or 400 mil was diverted to him in a tax fraud scheme...which I did not read here but somehow seems like a bigger issue.

I could be wrong in my values.

Hey, it certainly was less than honest and less than honorable of her, but it's really easy to see what happened and when.

I will say it is understandable that many hate her politics, that feeling also may have spread to her personally as well...I don't really worry about it, I'm not her defender. I don't admire her attack mode either.

But aren't the symptoms similar to the mythical TDS, or whatever that is called? Why are her alleged lies from back then more egregious and less acceptable than what gets released from the White House as facts...stuff that really affects the world?

At least she didn't have sexual affairs while her husband was pregnant.

That is rich considering that Obama was a lie a minute. Always amazed me that he never, ever knew anything that negatively impacted his administration until he heard about it in that day's news cycle (more lies).

Side bar - If things are so bad under Trump's administration, then why is Obama currently taking credit for all the good (more lies)?

Highly recommend you do a serious self analysis before you call anyone a hypocrite.
