Question: How do the cigars ship from cigarbid.com after we win an auction? Does it include a humidifier packet? May we ask (and pay) for a quicker shipping time?

The reason why I ask is that my previous auction-win was through [REDACTED]. They shipped it from Pennsylvania to Idaho, and it took 7 days. When I received the package, I noticed they had no humidification included in the shipment (i.e. Boveda packet) and at least one of the cigars had a cracked wrapper.

I don't mind paying extra to protect my winnings.

They use an Amish shipping company, and the packages are humidified with romaine lettuce. You’re going to be fine.

Howzit Uncle.

Probably best to contact Customer Service to get the most correct answer.

You should keep ordering from [REDACTED]... 7 days would be miraculous for this place...

In a box if they have an old one laying around.

Does it include a humidifier packet?

Not unless you won one at auction.

Sure, PM ZRX and see if he can get you special status or just pay for expedited service (includes lettuce).

Mentioning competitors is a no-no here. Can we call you Gabby ?

@tonygraz - Sure can! I go by Gabe, Gabby, or Uncle Gabe.

With regards to shipping, I don't mind paying extra for shipping, just as long as they arrive in good shape. My last auction, I paid $33.00 for ten really nice cigars. I can wait 7-10 days for a shipment, but if they don't travel with some sort of humidification to protect them, my purchase is in danger of being seriously damaged.

You can get your cigars in less than 10 days AND get a humi pack included......

if you buy elsewhere.

If you buy here you get potentially good prices and generally great customer service. The picking, packing and shipping has improved dramatically in recent months/years....however, don't count on it being better than sucky. You're here for price and maybe C/S.....besides...you're talking about three dollar cigars...how much damage can shipping really do?

You could move closer to Pennsylvania or someplace where delivery is not by Pony Express.

I once had a box of cigars delivered that was partially crushed - a call to CBID got me a new box and a free return of the original shipment. Funny thing was that the cardboard box the original shipment arrived in was in excellent condition.

Shipping is hit or miss here, it seems. My first order from here took a whole week. But this week's shipment is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and I ordered yesterday. The only other company that ships that fast is a famous one we all know. I'll usually receive that order the day after. I do happen to live within two hours of either shop, though. Sometimes you just get lucky.
