Watching the temperature go up from 4 this AM - may hit high 20's and warmer tomorrow.

Drafter - people are dying to know who bought the pies, what they were , and how many slices you had yesterday and the stats from today as well.

It really is bittersweet for me. I have a great team, minus a few malcontents, and my partners are all great guys. I'm going to miss them, but the 9 mile drive to work with no traffic will be a blessing.

Gonna pick up the reels I had serviced today, then take my wife for a little surprise.

I think I'll test out how well those reels work on Monday.

Hey, Al!? You want to go fishing at the Coronados on Monday? Me and a couple fellas from work are gonna jump on the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing.

8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. What a gift.

Pulling the sleep from my eyes in time to watch the Mammers get a bad case of the Blues.

I'd love to, but I'm heading to Ventura M-F. Hope to go bottom fishing on Thursday. The boats in the area haven't gone out much on weekdays since middle of October, so it's iffy unless they can get 10-12 people signed up.

We have room , if you can join us.

Went to lumber store and bought some wood to make a sandbag holder for my truck bed. Every year my sandbags migrate forward and end up a frozen lump under the toolbox.

Built a frame to keep em between the wheelwells. Filled with 500lbs of sandbags.

Refueled snowblower and replaced spark plug. Probably gonna need a whole teardown/rebuild after this season. Smokes like crazy and compression is low.

I think I said the same thing last year too...

Edit: I did. Just searched a bit for rings and gaskets, all discontinued and almost $150 for everything I could find. Now I remember. Not rebuilding this one. It's 20 years old now, and I got it free from someone's garbage so I think I got my money's worth.

I'm shocked. SHOCKED, I tell you....

Been working OT to squirrel away some money for a bit of an extravagant present for my wife. Took her to the Louis Vuitton store in San Diego and told her to pick out the bag she wanted (within a limit I gave her) and she balked. She sounded like ME for a minute...

She said, "No honey, I don't want you to spend that much on a bag. I'm just gonna put my crap in it." OhMyGod

Well okay, then... here's double your normal Christmas shopping money!! Buy me sumpin' nice!

Good Morning All,

The wife took the remaining smoked turkey and ham and made turkey salad and ham salad. Both had to sit in the fridge over night so the spices and everything marry together. It all should be gone after lunch today. Thank Goodness!

51 with a high of 64 and sunny.

I think I will go back to sleep for an hour or so. 4am is to damn early for a Sunday morning. Blink

Uhhh?

I use em as a rifle rest for long range shooting.

Well, let me rephrase, I use to use them for long range shooting. Now they just serve as a memento from that time in my life cause I like to get all nostalgic and chit. Anxious

Wife wants to go to the fairgrounds today with boy for the annual model train show.

Last two years it was nothing but tears from boy because he wanted to play with everything.

I don't like it because it's a building full of old men that don't look or smell like they venture out of their basements very often.

Gonna compromise and go to the train show.
