Guessing it is less inland, in some cases as much as 10 cents a gallon.

Here in LA we have the coastal effect, everything south of I-10 cost more.

Yep, seen it as low as $1.89.

Anyone know how much an average cost should be for boarding a dog?

Wife's brother used to be our go to for vacations to stay at the house and tend to animals. Give him $200 a fridge full of beer and food and all good. But last year one of the dogs pooped on the floor and "it's just too much work" now.

Dogs would need shots n stuff too, so I was figuring trying to talk him into it for $500 prolly still cheaper than two dogs shots and boarding fees for 10 days.

Cry me a river... Diesel is $3.12 at Sam's club, and the line is always long there because it's $3.65 at the cheapest non-member station. Premium gas is $3.33 and diesel is much cheaper to produce. Taxifornia hates on diesels... fuggers.

French toast, sausage links, fresh mixed berry syrup...

Thinking of making meatball calzones for lunch...

Chili started yesterday, should be done this afternoon... Cornbread in the oven soon...

Got 2 racks of some great looking ribs in the fridge and a new (to me) Kinders sweet heat sauce...

Are ribs and chili a thing? We might be having ribs and chili for dinner...

Nestle? You working with the tollhouse recipe? If you ever feel like trying something out, I've got a recipe that my wife and I have polished over the years... It makes a taller, softer cookie... But I recommend dark chocolate Guittard chips...

Yes, I use either Nestle or Hershey's. I would like to try your recipe one day. I have never used Guittard chips.

Why yes... yes, I do. I'll be working nights until July, but my schedule will be Sun-Tue and every other Saturday night.

Hawk killed Dumpling today. My oldest and friendliest chicken. She would fly out of the fenced area and come to the house, peck at the door until someone came out and gave her peanuts or cheerios.

Gonna run outta birds pretty quick here.

We used to board the woman's dog at wag hotel. Dog would get it's own room with a queen size bed. I think it ran 200$/night. They claim to read them bedtime stories....

^That's a colossal waste of money. I'd have let her sleep on my spare queen bed for $100 a night.

We stopped that because the dog would get "playtime" in a large pen with a lot of other dogs, and it isn't really very interested in playing with other dogs (the woman would watch it on the available web cameras.... It just wanted to leave and go back to it's room).

Last few times we had wag (different company, this is a dog walking service) send someone to stay at our home for a week. I think it runs 50$ a day .... I have to lock up anything you don't want someone to dig into... But was doable.

Well Macs... I think there were cheaper options. But she wanted her dog to stay in a private room as opposed to a cage... It's fine by me...

First, it appears that y'all missed a gem by Frank.

As for the mutt: We've used kennels and HATE them. Hate.

We then took a gamble and used rover.com where local people get "vetted" through the site and will take care of your pet. In our case, we sent our Sadie to live with a family in a neighborhood with a fenced back yard. She slept where she wanted in the downstairs of the home, and played with other dogs being kept for overnight or just day care.

Of course it does. That's why it's called work, and you have to get PAID to do it.

Otherwise they'd call it "happy fkn fun time".
