Have a cold one in honor of the pup.

He's not really gone. He's chewing on the leg and causing CROS pain.

Sorry to hear about Goldilocks.

Dogs and cats are indeed members of the family - the house has felt empty in the past couple of years, except for the occasional visit from Honey, the grey male cat that lives down the street and escapes from time to time.

Good morning all, sorry for your loss Drafter, had our beloved Ginger cross over the Rainbow Bridge end of September, after 14 wonderful years of joy for the family. Comfort in knowing Ginger will be meeting up with our Pepper, Tiffany, Cookie and your puppy dog. Angel

Christmas meal prep underway.

Made habanero pico de gallo, a spicy garlic/lime/cilantro crema drizzle, and shredded a red cabbage for shrimp tacos.

5 lbs of shrimps should be about thawed, gotta peel em and marinade overnight. Gonna cook maybe 2 lbs without marinade for shrimp cocktail.

And bought a jar of pickled herring.

Pickled herring is good.

Once a year though. I grew up with it being a Christmas treat, I'll admit it's an acquired taste.

So far the only weird fish thing I've refused to at least try, is surströmming. That's just foul.
