My wifey's grandparents were from Finland. Her mom always had some lutefisk and lefsa handy around Christmas. It's an acquired taste I never acquired. Sick

Since I had an early start, I'm already done with chores for the day.

Weather's not bad, should probably go out back and shovel the chicken coop. Maybe later.

So how big is the Neapolitan that they send out to shake you ?

When I was a kid my father stopped at McDees when I asked him if I could have a bite- he bit me. When I asked for a shake he shook me. I didn't ask for a fry.

Already heard it from the wife.

Had to shower and shave and cut my hair, so I did that.

Decided to make some rice for the shrimp tacos so made two pots, one with spices and stuff like taco rice and the other with just some onions and lime. See how they are when they cool off to decide what I'll take down.

Chickns next

I know that's a joke, but the sizing is a thing of difficulty... The XL cups don't fit under the shake machine, so an XL shake actually comes in a Large cup... The large comes in a medium cup... There is no medium shake so if you order one it's up to the drive thru attendant to decided what size to put you in...

You can also go "monster style" and have the fries (well done) put into an XL cup and then dump your XL neo shake (in the L cup) over the fries... It's pretty amazing...

Midwinter thaw chicken poo cleanup is always awful. You got a layer of fresh poo on top, then the hardpacked/freeze dried layer that has to be broken up to scoop. Underneath that hard layer is the pocket of concentrated ammonia and recently thawed woodchips/poop. Burns the eyes, nose, and lungs. Plus it's all soaked and weighs a good 40 lbs per scoop. Coop's too short to stand up in, so it's all done while bent in half. Tons of fun and now I'm sore.

But it's done and I think I'm done for the day too.

I would rather frozen and snowing instead of muddy and rainy (and floody) myself.

Think about the savings in travel expenses at 50 cents per mile plus the extra time you will have for yourself.

Enjoy and maybe you can get the new smoker figured out. Always takes a little time with the new BBQ equipment.

Last night grilled orange roughy fillets on the egg for the first time. Turned out pretty darn good. Served with new potatoes and grilled asparagus.

Got the idea from the egg forum. Made a bed of sliced meyer lemons on the grill for each fillet. Drizzled lemon/dill/butter and placed fresh dill sprigs over each and grill until done.
