Yeah, I looked at my yard this morning and there are puddles everywhere. I can't even let my dog out there.

Heading to inlaws. Wife said noon, so I had everything packed in the truck at 0900.

Apparently she meant leave at noon.

Silver lining - it started to rain so I went back out and wrapped everything in the bed with trashbags. Better to do now than run into a rainstorm while driving down. Really should buy a camper shell for my bed, had one on my old truck and it was great 99% of the time. But that once or twice a year you gotta take it off to put something tall in the bed is a PITA. And I have toolboxes lining the 3 sides of the bed which would have to go.

Pot luck for the office today. I made a pernil aka pork shoulder. Slow cooked all night and the last 2 hours turned up to get a nice brown finish. It was gone in 2 hours! Next time I am going to have to make 2.

I'm awake... and I need a nap. Cleaned the back yard, raked leaves, hosed down the cement, wife packed a bunch of stuff she wants to send to the Philippines... 2 yuge boxes.

Gotta roll down to San Diego to grab some good pellets and pick up friends from the airport.

Did I mention I need a nap?

Hmmmm... did not know Shana was Puerto Rican. My sister and brother in law (he's Puerto Rican) always cook pernil. They each cook one and compete to see who's is liked more. They do it with Thanksgiving turkeys, too.

Last night prepared grilled tune sammich, Brioche bun, grilled tuna topped with Asian style slaw and wasabi aioli. Paired the sammich with avocado, celery and cucumber salad with Asian dressing.

I will be doing this again in the very near future.

Time to think about what to eat today.

Good day everyone. Began my holiday vacation today. Made scratch buttermilk pancakes for all this morning. Wasted half my batter before I realized the heating element was bad. Even on low it was wide open.

After breakfast I made a pot of chicken andouille gumbo.

Two answers - since 1993 is the top level answer, but can I really claim that if I can’t actually see matches? I was able to really start following in 2001 (cable company adds what was then called Fox Sports World), so that’s probably the best and most accurate answer.

Christmas "brunch" at my parents house today. 3pm and still haven't done gifts and stuff. All the little kids are crying cause it's well past naptime. I'm about to join them.

Probably won't be leaving till at least 6pm, from brunch.

my brother and I exchanged our annual holiday sweaters... He got me a bright blue sweater, patterned with the star of David and menorahs... It says Happy Challa Days... In this day and age of cultural appropriation, I'm fairly certain I'm gonna get jumped by a gang of rabbis...
