Nancy Pelosi said the press should stop 24 hour coverage of Trump's investigations and start covering issues that affect most Americans...

you agree?

If so, what is your most pressing issue that you would like to hear more about?

Honestly, its not just Trump....take off anything about any celebrity and give me extra five minutes IN-DEPTH about any important NEWS topic of the day....I don't get value out hearing that Steph Curry talked to a moon landing faked conspiricist....or what some Kardashian tweeted ....nor, do I get anything out of stories not investigated, but thrown up with a couple buzz words meant simply to inflame -- it is getting hard to track down much real reporting nowadays

I don't remember EVER being on the same page as Pelosi ... I completely agree that the press needs to stop the 24/7 banging of the anti-Trump drum, but somehow being in agreement with Nancy makes me uncomfortable and I'm wondering when the other shoe will drop and what it will bring ...

Trump keeps hollering "fake news" at every turn, which most of it isn't, but the coverage is so utterly biased against him that I can readily see his point, though again, I'm uncomfortable being on the same page with him ...

Maybe if he and Nancy could get a room somewhere far, far away ...

The problem is that what they are covering is "news".

The president of the United States being investigated is definitely news. The problem is we don't need minute by minute updates.

Just as the dumb things the president says/tweets is "news"... It is an official statement from the president. But we don't need it examined every minute until the next comes out. He should be mocked briefly for the idiot he is, and then move on. Maybe just a 1x a day segment "dumb sh+t our idiot of a president said in the past 24hrs"

They could just have it air once a day and list the many dumb things he said /tweeted/did in the past 24hrs.

Today he tweeted an incorrect statement about the trade wars with China
In the incorrect statement he used the incorrect version of "their"
After a hundred responses mocking him for the incorrect ""there" he then deleted the tweet, likely violating government archiving laws.

(Yes the above happened in the past 24 hrs. And yes that's about all the time we need to spend on it.) They could accompany the news segment with a laugh track and maybe some blooper noises.

Then get on to other non-"our president is an absolute idiot" news.

Great idea. But, he shouldn’t be allowed to hog the spotlight. The other morons such as Pelosi, Ryan, Bernie, McConnel, Schumer and for sure Waters shouldn’t be denied their opportunity to shine.

The problem is Trump is an attention junkie and he makes sure to tweet something incendiary on a daily basis...his tweets seem intended to keep his base on edge...

where there's smock, their's fire...(to paraphrase our COC)

You're right about his tweeting, but it's not his base he's tweeting to.

I know about his tweets from the people who become outraged by them.

Hardly his base.

So his base might be on edge, but it's from the Trump detractors reacting to the tweets, rather than the tweets themselves.

I don't think you're giving Trump enough credit to recognize that cause and effect, are you?

you are correct...my post is inaccurate, upon re-reading...

his tweets are intended to keep his opposition on edge and his supporters cheering...

that's what I intended to say and should have typed in the first post...

thanks.

Either way, you're right about the tweets.
He can't help himself.

You know, my opinion has changed about his tweets. They aren't worth expending any energy on. They aren't news worthy. I would like to see/hear more non sensationalized news. A couple of areas in particular. What is happening in middle east war zones and how we can expedite bringing out troops home safe. What can be done to counteract Russia's world wide military incursions. I am not talking about Trump in any regard in reference to Russia. For instance I am concerned that there are Russian nuclear bombers in Venezuela right now.

There should be a border cam station so we can see the caravans rushing the border... No coverage on regular news stations...
Maybe put cameras on the rocket dogs... Think

I think DHS and the Border Patrol already have cameras, but are asking for more, including drones with cams...stuff that can be used to build a high tech wall...
