Since the coast guard is not part of the DOD, but rather HLS they will not be paid during the shut down. In past shut downs congress has passed emergency funding for their pay. This has not yet happened now. It seems to me that this is a mistake. These people put their lives on the line every day for us. I imagine there are others in a similar situation who are part of HLS, but this is so obvious.

I haven't verified yet, but I assume that Customs and Border Patrol agents, Drug Enforcement Agents, FBI agents, Federal Police from various jurisdictions/offices, federal firefighters.....

By the way, I saw a notice from one of the larger credit unions serving military members, Navy Federal, that Coast Guard servicemen and women would see their normal direct deposit pay available ....a sort of interest free loan from NFCU. Awesome!!

Well...maybe they'll have to go out in the back yard
Like GARY O'CONNER/DIRTY FELON SSG FEILD CHIEF AND JACK GRIMADLI / GARY OLDMAN and open the LID ....to their "Holes in the backyard" filled with DIRTY CASH FROM DRUG BUSTS , THIEVERY, BRIBES and the like.....

But that ain't gonna help the honest ones...

The dirty ones will have no CASH problems during the government shutdown....at all.

Al, some things the Trump administration does are so unprofessional it boggles the mind. Unfortunately I don't think either side will back down any time soon. This may be a long shut down. At this point in time I don't think it is possible to gauge what the long term repercussions will be.

I heard Nancy went to see Palama now that he’s retired to talk to him about a “job” mainlanders wouldn’t do.
