Happy New Year Gents! Was given a really good recipe for Pruno the last time I was locked up and thought I'd share. If you start a batch now, it won't be ready until after the New Year but so what - there's always something to celebrate. It pairs really well with a Pirate's Gold. I wouldn't look any further than that stick. Anyway - here goes. Enjoy!
10 peeled oranges cut into wedges
10 browned, soft apples cut into wedges
1 cup Sugar in the Raw
1 yeast packet (can substitute a couple dinner rolls if you're locked up)
16 oz and 1 cup warm water
8 oz can of fruit cocktail
1 packet of raisins

1. Combine the fruit cocktail, apples, raisins and oranges in a 1-gallon Ziploc bag and mash them up taking care to not pop the bag. Once the fruit is beaten into a pulp, add the raw sugar and mix.

2. Add the 16 ounces of warm water to the bag and then seal it. Submerge the sealed bag in a sink of warm water for 15 minutes.

3. In a bowl mix the yeast packet with a cup of warm water and 3 teaspoons of raw sugar and wait til it froths up. Add this to the bag of mushy fruit then store in a dark place. Again - bread or rolls if no access to yeast. And no, your girfriend's yeast infection remnants will not work - different kind of yeast.

4. Every day for seven to eight days pour warm water (not hot) over the bag then wrap it in a towel and store. Never allow the bag to cool, else the yeast will die. I sleep with the bag between my legs for good measure.

5. As part of the fermenting process, the bag will bloat up from the carbon dioxide so you’ll need to burp it by opening the bag and releasing the carbon dioxide. Repeat this process every day until there’s no longer any bloating.

6. Filter the contents through a cheesecloth. An old sock will do. Underwear imparts an earthy taste some favor. Not everyone's cup of tea but then again, we don't all have girlfriends with the talent of keistering a pint past security.

Highly recommend you and Mrs. Delta go see it. Very entertaining. The director took a few creative indulgences, but for the most part historically accurate.

I've seen side-by-side video comparisons of Freddie and Rami Malek playing Freddie. He duplicated his swagger almost to a t. The guys who played Brian, Roger and John look very much like them. They also did wonderful jobs mimicking their personas.

Many critics panned it because it wasn't "queer" enough. But, only an idiot wouldn't make that connection. Apparently, they were miffed because it wasn't a remake of "Crusin."

Good morning Ram and all you others not sitting on a cushion. About to head to the grocery store. Looks like a BBQ'd pork belly is on the menu for New Year's Day.

Good Morning folks.

Tonight's menu will consist of our traditional Southern "New Years" meal which is Black-Eyed Peas,Turnip Greens, and homemade Cornbread in a wrought iron pan . We have replaced the treat meat with a ham that will be smoked with mostly apple and a touch of oak.

I hope you all have a great and safe New Years!

Sounds a lot like our NYE party, Rick. I don't think my wife and I have made it past 10 for years.

I just don't see the appeal in starting the new year with an awful hangover... I'll have my share of those without starting the year that way.
