The woman found the one pho restaurant in the city.
She looked at the menu, saw it was putting chicken in the beef broth pho, declared it must be run by Chinese and basically wants it burned to the ground.

I was just upset they didn't put tendon or tripe in their pho. And I don't even like tripe in my pho.

we all know that Mexicans don't complain no matter how bad the cops treat them...

While they make up about 33% of the population in CA, they make up 65% of the prison poulation... and they damn sure do complain.

I'm sure there are some.
But I don't think the Mexican restaurants are cooking for the Mexicans there. Probably will end up with some really bland cheesy crap.

They can probably cook up a mean plate of grits n dumplins... and other easy-to-eat-without-teeth foods...

Lobster truck... Not a bad idea. Not too impressed with the one we've had around here tho.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get the Korean truck

Boy's school cancelled for tomorrow. Windchill's -20F.

Heat at work already struggling to keep up. Any time it's below zero outside we don't have sufficient heat inside. 65f inside right now but thermostats are maxed.

A low howl outside. 15 mph winds, gusts to 25. The morning should bring us our first double minus temps of the season.

Stay tuned for the morning report.

BRUTAL ram27bat Thermometer in my truck was reading -6 on the drive home. Don't think the cab ever really got up to temp, but sure am thankful I have heat in this one.

I came to work prepared with plenty cold weather clothing. I was fine walking out this morning except the air hurt my face and breathing was a little painful. But I stayed unfrozen. Mustache was iced over after taking out the trash, loading the recycling in my truck and feeding the chickens.

I hate it.

Last gas/electric bill was almost $300. Next one's gonna hurt even more.

Days like this, and the 110° days we had last July make me appreciate my indoor job. Saw a dude up in a cherry picker replacing light bulbs at White Castle. I remember doing stuff like that and it wasn't a bid deal, just part of the day. Then when you start warming up and can feel the cold still coming from your bones while your skin is warmed and the pain sets in... Don't miss it that much.

They do have a corner of the coop with a heat lamp. I made a 24" square ceramic tile with a heat element on it that did a good job of keeping it warm but it broke last summer when I hit it with my shovel so I put a heat lamp out there. Next year I'm thinking of redoing the floor tiles and put heating grid underneath.

The coop stays pretty warm with just the heat lamp. I'm sure it's below freezing on a day like today but didn't check thermometer when I was out there. It usually holds about 20° over ambient. Their water is heated to 40 so that's not an issue. Eggs were frozen this morning

I'm a hot sauce junkie.

Over the years I'll occasionally find a sauce that kicks my ass and I can't handle it but eventually I work my way into it and keep going.

I have some collectors bottles that will never be opened as they're entirely inedible (several Blairs reserve bottles mostly). But I just got owned by an $8 bottle of sauce.

Da Bomb Beyond Insanity. It's horrible. No flavor, just hot, and too damn hot. I went outside on the deck to cool off after eating some chicken I tossed with a teaspoon of this stuff.

Can't trust a fart for the next 24 hours.

Ever seen Hot Ones? It's the dumbest idea for a show that actually ends up being quite good... Gordon Ramsey was just on and he also got owned by Da Bomb I'm pretty sure...

Jeff goldblum was one of my favorites of all time... Natalie portman too, but only because she's such a phony and going through that experience really exposes people for what they are...
