Trump supporters who happened to have bleach and a noose in hand at 3 in the morning walking around in freezing weather and happened to recognize him. One of the funniest bits to me is him saying he couldn’t ID them because of their clothes due to the weather. How the **** did they recognize him? WTF was he wearing in 10° weather???

And he was POSITIVE that those two were the perps when Robin Roberts showed him the pic in his interview because of their body language.

I don’t WANT to not believe him and I wasn’t in a hurry TO believe him....figured this was another good one to wait for more info

OK, here's the latest rumor. I say rumor, as there is no proof YET. According to this rumor, Smollett was going to be written off the show, Empire. He hired the two Nigerians, who had been extras on the show to rough him up, so he could file a fake "hate crime" report, and garner sympathy. Again, so far only a rumor, but it does seem plausible.

Well the brothers have been released and police are denying the rumor that they where hired by Smollett to stage the attack. So I guess we're back to square one.

So no hate crime here, just a black man faking a hate crime trying to show white people as racist scum. Why shouldn't this be a hate crime? Don't state protected groups. That is BS. I am so tired of the double jeopardy involved in hate crimes. I hope he gets the maximum sentence allowed by law. Oh, I guess I need to say aledgedly. Now the talking heads are speaking about how he can redeem himself. If this had been true they wouldn't ever have spoke about redemption for white men. Nor should they have. They shouldn't be forming a protective cocoon around this loser.

My thoughts,

Someone needs to educate these two brothers on how to properly whip somebodys ass. What did they hit this bloke with a baby diaper? Not surprising that most of the left wing high profile politicians and media outlets that jumped on the train on the front end are now striking the "Heisman Pose." Can't get away from it quick enough.

Then there are the groups such as Black Lives Matter that are going after the local Chicago news for inaccurate reporting and trying to connect the dots to blame the LEO's.

My guess is it more than 1%. The media promotes and in this case helps create raciial divides. MLK spoke about judging people by the content of character, not the color of the skin. The content of this guy is garbage.

Watch the double standard play out. Smollett wont be charged, the media will pull back, and they'll wait to find the next story for which they can twist into another case of white men being the root of all evil.

If the Aurora Illinois shooter would have been white, and four of his victims black, the racism replacement story would already be in place.

There is still one large group of racists, the progressives that think people of color cannot perform so they keep them in poverty with welfare while promoting the murder of their children by abortion. I used to think they were just misguided well meaning do gooders and some actually are, however their leaders are actually looking for a totally different outcome.

Gene, basically I couldn't disagree with you more, but you are entitled to your opinion. There is one thing governmentally that I do think is racist. The welfare system. It keeps people at the poverty level and offers no real way out. I don't mind giving a helping hand, but it should be a helping hand up.

I was going to disagree with Gene as well.
But then I took another look.

"The progressives think people of color cannot perform": this is true. It explains quotas, etc.

"They keep them in poverty": Again. True. Our welfare system is sold as a way of life rather than temporary assistance. We remove the stigma and encourage multi generational membership.

"While promoting the murder of their children by abortion". Of course, they won't use the term "children", but this is 100% accurate. Promoting the procedure as a simple choice and pushing to make it easy, fast and free is nothing short of brilliant (if not morbid) marketing.

So in hindsight, Gene nailed it.

So Tail, I thought about what you said, then I went back and reread what Gene said. I won't go as far as you and say Gene nailed it. But my statement of completely disagreeing with Gene is inaccurate. I think both sides of the aisle are wrong in that welfare has held impoverished people back for a long time. I don't see this as racist, people of all colors who are impoverished are held back. I see this as more of a systemic problem. I think there is an accuracy in that progressive has became very different than it's original political definition. Socialism and Communism are easy to associate with today's progressivism.

You're right in that welfare is not a race concept.
But the left has made everything about race.

Everything.


I've always maintained that people project their inadequacies.
A person who cheats thinks their spouse is cheating.
Liars assume others are lying.
Frank thinks all dudes are hung like stallions.

So when the left accuse the GOP of being racist when they tighten up welfare issues, what they're exposing is their belief that welfare is for minorities of color.
