Anyone want to trade some Yuenling for some cigarlings? Think

The shipping costs for this would probably make it not worthwhile besides the fact that there are So many delicious craft beers out there. Just my five nickels!

You are right, d'oh! I'll have to see if it's sold in Ohio or Indiana and make a road trip.

This harkens back to the days when Coors could not be found east of the Rockies. One often wants what one can't get. Nowadays I won't touch Coors, since as you said there are lots of very good craft beers available.

I can confirm Indiana has a variety of Yeungling including the amber available. Most decent grocery stores even carry it. Can't say for sure on OH but it would stand to reason they'd drop some off there on there way out here

Thanks. I'm not too far from the Indiana border via I-69. Looks like a road trip in a few weeks. Beer

Ohio has Yuengling. Traditional lager is just a decent plain no frills beer.

The Indiana border is about 60 miles from !e so I may take a trip and see if one of the stores in northern Indiana have it.

Yeungling has historically had really strange distribution. Pottsville PA beer, available in PA and the south only for the longest time. Hit Ohio about 2005ish. Gotta be a state thing if it's not available in Michigan.

For me Yuenling sucks. Was born & raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and it was always considered an over-priced step up from Iron City Beer. Penn Pilsner was better I started drinking beer over 40yrs ago and Yuengling wasn't even available in Pittsburgh then. A case of Iron City 16oz. returnable bottles was only $9.99 then. Try Straubs out of St. Mary's, PA instead. No added sugar or preservatives.

But if you like it, drink it. Even Black Label had its fans. I'd rather have an ice cold Pabst in a frosted glass.

Man that's a BOLD statement, Iron Schity was always the beer of last resort and good for the trots or yakking.
Worked at a beer distributor and the half barrels of Iron always came in looking NASTY. Totally agree on Penn Brewery beers.

Iron Schity was always the beer we bought at the beach in the late 60's.
NOT because we LIKED it, but because it was 3 quarts for $1. Beer---> BARF!

Nasty Narry is distributed locally here in Upstate N.Y. I haven't had it and will now continue to avoid it.

Nastygansett and Schlitz were the nasty beers in my neck of Mass., about 30 minutes from Providence R.I.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot one of the nastiest....Haffenreffer Private Stock(the green death)...$1.65 a six pack of 16 oz. bottles, with the "concentration" style puzzles in the cap. When warm, they tasted like a skunk's azz smellsd'oh!
But at $1.65, everybody drank it.....a lot!!!

In the heartland of Ohio, all the kids were drinking Milwaukee's Beast (I spells it like I remembers it). Wasn't $1 by the 90s but it was cheap.

There was also Stroh's of course, but that was Grandpa's go-to so I won't disparage it. Speak to the hand

This is Alabama's "favorite" beer. Has always been notorious here.

You talking 6 pk, 12 pk, 24 pk?

Used to love it. Every time I went to a state that had it, I'd buy a few cases to take home.

Now that it's readily available, I rarely drink it anymore.

I did bring a few cases with me to the track in South Haven, mostly cause dudes will trade me an even better beer for a Yuengling

Yuengling Lager is awesome! I grew up drinking it. They opened a second brewery down in Tampa some years back and it spread all over the south.

Is the Amber different from the lager? The beer I had definitely had "Amber" on the Dan. Think

I am thinking he wants the traditional lager.

The back may say Amber in the description of beer or color... But I don't think there is an Amber line.

Going to ask just to be sure once I get to store.

The Lager is just labeled Traditional Lager. If it said Amber it was not the Lager. Did you order from a tap? Because the Lager is marketed as being famous for it's amber color. Maybe the tap was labeled Amber lager?

Wait, wait. The traditional lager does have "Original Amber" in smaller letters on the label. Gotta read the fine print

For me a Black and Tan is Guinness floating on Bass or Harps if Bass isn't available. When you drink it they should not mix until you hit the line between.

Did the Yuengling Tampa brewery tour not long ago. The porter , which is the black of their black and tan was really good. They are closing the tasting room and are going to reopen with an onsite hotel......interesting concept.
