I'm not really religious, but as a kid I went to Catholic Schools, and the way I remember the nuns telling it was,
You take that time at the end of the day and before you go to sleep, to Thank God for keeping you safe in the previous day and to ask for His guidance and protection in the new day coming....YMMV....Angel

My Wife Terry is Strong and She has stabilized. Doctors and Nurses are monitoring her night and day trying to Heal Her! Thank YOU for your PRAYERS and SUPPORT!

Yes, that is the standard image. This might give you a little insight if you are interested. The article is more about prayer though the night but still it tells a little of why.

Personally, I stop and take the time throughout both day and night but that is just me. I really prefer at night but that is only because I can stay more focused in humbling myself since during that time my world is quieter. I know a lot may find it strange but, I kind of view it like trying to talk to someone while playing with your phone vs giving full attention and respect while trying to have a very serious conversation. For me it is a very personal time. Just my 0.02

TERRY is HOME after 2 weeks in the hospital. She begins Her chemotherapy next week. I cannot express HOW MUCH it HELPS to know that So Many WONDERFUL PEOPLE are PRAYING FOR HER!!! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU for your SUPPORT!!!
