beautiful clear day today, after the rain...usual greyish brown haze washed away... mountain ranges all around have a layer of snow...

poppy bloom in the foothills is reportedly glorious...may have to take a little drive to see them...hope there aren't too many little dogs around then...

G.R.E.A.T. title....

But????

What happened to the
WASHINGTON, D.C. yearning for the cherry blossoms??

Stieny,
Back around 1995? I went to DC for the cherry blossom week...I had seen them many many times from 1975-90...
We went down and walked to the Jefferson memorial ...Prime Minister John Majors was there too and greeted us admiring my 3?-4? Month old daughter...he smiled very genuinely...prolly remembering his own newborn children?...the security detail was really intense but professional... with 3 layers of British guards ++ ## of U.S.SECRET SERVICE...
Mr. Majors dropped something and I picked it up/ or discovered it about 3 minutes later...

Gotta love the week of cherry blossoms...

What part of Oklahoma are you in? I've got an aunt that moved out there somewhere and my fishing buddy's dad is out there right now and his sisters live out there... I assume you all know each other, prolly live right next door to each other... How big could Oklahoma be?

Agreed. Still a couple/few weeks to go. However, things are kinda nuts that week nowadays. Wife is a photographer and prefers the earliest light, so we go down a few times before sunrise and enjoy them before with just a few hundred other photographers instead of a few hundred thousand people later in the day.
