Credit due to the 12 Republicans who voted to overturn Trumps national emergency. Tough to vote against your party and a Republican president. But the constitution is more important than a wall. Opening this Pandoras box we do not need. Probably only symbolic as a veto override seems unlikely. SCOTUS will decide this, in my opinion.

Sometimes it's tough following the Constitution, something you didn't see from the democrat party when Obama made similar overreaches.

That said, IMO, they are wrong in this case. One in particular, Lindsey Graham, is such a RINO, he really needs to change party designation.

Conversely, we didn't see one single Dem who would not vote the party line.

maybe question the GOP that didn't get it?
Those that were in the minority voted party line, not for the Constitution

it's about the manner of funding, not the wall itself...no?

Since when has either party stood on the Constitution in principle? And yes, it's about the manner of funding but there were many instances in the past where Dems voted for funding but since it has become "Trumps Wall" they have changed their minds.

Deadeye, the problem is neither side follows the constitution. The answer to the problem is get the hell rid of everyone who doesn't follow the constitution. The right thing to do is always follow the constitution even when it hurts. It hurt those Republicans, but they did the right thing and I commend them. Running this country could be so much better. Follow the constitution and when the existing constitution doesn't cover it add an amendment that is the best solution for we the people.
