Humidor issue

I converted a large pull out drawer to a humidor which typical works quite well. I use a Cigar Oasis electronic humidifier along with a couple of Humi-Care X10 humidifiers. I also have some Humi-Care portable packets in there.

Once in a while, the cigars/wrappers in the middle sections take on an oily, light greasey residue. Some of it also accumulates on the insside of the plexi glass cover. The cigars not affected by this because I keep the cello wrappers on them.

I try to keep humidity at a constant 68-70%.

Any ideas on what is causing this weird phenomena? Suggestions?

Take one out of cello and see what grows on wrapper if anything....maybe too much moisture?

Sounds like your humidity is too high.
Unless your hygros are spot on, which they likely are not, you could easily be over 70 much of the time........that’s gonna cause problems.
