Happy Thursday fellas.

Helluva night back to work after vacation. House supervisor took a nurse from me leaving us even more short handed than we were to start. 2 deaths and a third was coming pretty quickly as I left. I didn't have time to sit down and do my charting until after the shift was over.

5 more to go.

Can't sleep.

Was so tired this morning when I got home, fell asleep as soon as I got into bed.

And woke up 2 hours later...

Day shift is working on that I'm sure. Think

Logged in to see if there would be any chance of getting an on-call tonight. Looks like appropriate DNR orders were placed.

Name the dog "cat"

Is that short for anything, like Cathy?
Yes, it's short for "cat".

Actually have a friend who found an abandoned kitten in his shed, He named the cat "dog".
This became rather funny when dog got older and they realized he was a maine coon, which instinctively act as much like dogs as they do cats.
Always good for a laugh watching people's reactions when he starts playing fetch with dog. No one has ever seen a cat bring a thrown ball back. lol

There's a sign along I65 in Indiana by Fair Oaks farms (halfway between Lafayette and Gary) that says come smell our dairy air.

It gets me every time.

Got floated to another unit tonight so I'm not directly participating. Only doing my part by not being there and having them run short handed.

Maybe Drafter could name his puppy after something in Danm's work area.

Adrenaline (Addie)
Heroin (Hero)
Stat (stat)
OH-oh (Oh)

I've chuckled at that one. Then I get a little depressed because it's still another 3hrs to Bloomington to visit the kid.

The volleyball hits the sand with a quiet thunder, after crawling feebly over the net.
