Anybody interested in taking the plunge on these, there are quite a few bundles up for auction here on good ol' Cbid. ALL of them seemingly going for around $36 a bundle or so before shipping.

The mothership is running these "for a limited time" at $40 a bundle for robustos and $50 for churchills. One review on the Habano and the guy seems pretty excited about them! Beer

Smoking a habano robusto as I write this, about to nub it. My first written review ever, I'll try to do it justice.

Looks are a bit ragged, obvious wrapper seams with a crooked cap. Veiny and dry to the touch. Soft but not pillowy. Nice, mellow tobacco smell.

Sliced the cap and the end cracked, may still be a little too dry, I've only had them in storage for 3 days so they're still pretty much rott. Dry draw is uneventful, no real stand out flavors just earthy.

Toast it and the first puff is amazing! That EH wrapper really shines through, mildly sweet and salty, toasted nut with a touch of caramel and a pleasing aroma. The first third was very good.

Now, I think, I'm starting to pick up on some of the notes that I remember from the one and only OR that I've had, one Ewok gifted me over a year ago. I remeber thinking the OR had a lemon zest flavor, so that memory may be playing tricks on me but, I'm definitely getting a tart, almost sour, effect now. Not the green grassy flavor of a connie, it's different, pleasant but very prevalent. The second third was good but less enjoyable than the first.

Last third, now the sourness is overwhelming. May be that they're too dry and in need of some aging but, at this point, my tongue is getting dry and my mouth is reacting like I just had one too many lemonhead candies. I ashed it with about 3/4 of an inch remaining, took me a solid hour to get there and felt a pleasing, not overpowering, nic kick.

Overall, I'm not disappointed, especially having less than $2 per in them. I have to believe that a few weeks rest will mellow that tartness and make my next experience much more pleasant. I look forward to my future experience with these, I believe they will be very good summer cigars and hopefully pair well with an ice cold ipa. Beer

How about a frozen metal or rocks glass with about 3 fingers of Angels Envy or some Wellers.
or could go with some Eagles Rare or Sazerac Rye. Thanks to BROTHER SPEYSIDE!

Dang it, Now I am slobbering all over my desk and it aint even close to 5 o'clock yet.

Me and you both brother. Is it wrong of me to wake up wishing it was already 5 o'clock?

I woke up in a particularly strange mood today. Usually I don't get that feeling until after 2ish. fog
