Did you put a prostate feeler on the end of the "Prototype" or just make it to where it had an electric start?jester

My wife said the ones with the kickstart can be frustrating and having to work the clutch all the time takes a great deal of dexterity. Beer

Just be careful during the human trials. I would hate to hear that you can no longer tell the difference between a fart and a sigh.Gonz

Wish it was that simple.. but it'll work out.. it's only about a hundred manufactured parts and getting a few hundred purchased parts delivered on time.. but I've been here before... Mellow

Thunderstorms rolling in.

I was gonna dewinterize the camper tonight, maybe fix some stuff since I gotta try to stay up all night. But can't take the tarp off wet.

So, Knob Creek and a CC in the garage it is.

What do you do? Figured you were a drafter for some reason. The ones I worked with in the past did the cad, and sent files to the floor. The dudes on the floor were the ones putting in OT to make it work while the cad dudes made it home for dinner and bitched about us changing stuff the next day.

I'm up late, as well. But in 3 months, I will switch back to day shift for 6 glorious months!!

Spoke with the wife today... we contemplated retirement in the Philippines. I'm unsure.

If we do... I can retire for good in December. But if we make the move, it will be financially difficult to come back if I decide I don't want to stay. Think

Safe bet is to get to 53, cash out my sick bank at 100%... then adjourn to Florida. It's nice to know that I have options, though. She says 30k for the lot and 100k for a very, very nice house with central air.

I'm tempted.

One of my coworkers always talks about retiring in the Philippines. But he's from Kentucky, so I'm not sure he'd fit in too well. He's mostly looking at the strength of the USD there, and not the complete uprooting and entirely new life.

Three coworkers are from there. Two say they would not go back except to visit family. The third is a very wealthy surgeon who never sold his family home there and goes there for a few months every winter. He's well beyond retirement age, but doesn't plan to.

I heard you had hair where you didn't want it - maybe it's a good thing.

Danm-- lots of expats there, and the wife says they got 7-11's and KFC's and stuff.

Plus, I can speak tagalog enough to get by... but when I was immersed in the culture for 3 years, I was pretty good at it. I'd bet in a year or two, with enough sun, I'd fit right in.

mornin' ram and everyone.

heading down the Cape in a few minutes to check out a couple potential rental homes for a Summer vacation.
looking at 2 weeks I hope, one just goes too fast and I don't have to be back for work...

we rented one of the homes for a week last Summer, just want to take a peek to make sure it has been kept up, worked well for us. But I spotted another house in the area that looked "fresher" at least from the pics posted.

either way or even another way, we will spend a chunk of July August there.

Rare moment of solitude. Just a monkey and his dog on the deck. Sounds of birds and suburban white noise. Cigar and scotch. Happy Friday evening.

I like it. Unfortunately, lately and if representative of recent moments, they would involve driving to Atlanta or Macon, flying to Houston, staying in hotels, looking at a laptop screen or wishing that my kids had saved up enough money to go out on their own (this one’s actually near to completion). But they would be the perfect cards for fat, middle aged guys who work too much.

Oh, and congrats DED!
